Spring Lake Historical Society Tours and Activities

Our room was not ready until 3:15pm, 15 minutes past the contractual check-in time. We had arrived at 9am and requested for to check in early if possible because of evening commitments. I understand it's a busy hotel, but to not be allowed to check in until 15 minutes after the guaranteed time is pathetic. I called at 12pm and they said the room would be ready soon. It was not. No apologies were given. Our AC vent was also clicking on/off all night making it difficult to sleep. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything right outside your room. This hotel markets itself up to appear luxurious in the lobby and outside, but once you're in your room it is miserable. $6 for a drip coffee in the morning. Avoid at all costs. You are better off anywhere else.

Loved our large two queen bed 8th floor north tower room, with kitchenette. The staff was great, the room was quiet, comfortable and spotless and the A/c was more than adequate for the temps in 80s to near 90. The KTown location was ideal, next to MidTown but without the crowds and noise of Midtown. Empire State Bldg just a couple of blocks away, walking distance to many things, quick access to buses and subway. Housekeeping was excellent and my daughter particularly appreciated that her stuffed animal was always carefully posed on her bed when we returned at end of day. Lovely little hotel and I would not hesitate to stay again.
