"Clean room, well restored building. Continental breakfast was good, muffins, sandwiches, cereal, juices, bread/bagels. Great location in Dow town. Ear shops, bars, restaurants. Opera house open a higher floor. "

"This place was lovely, and well-suited for our girls weekend. We loved the comfy beds, the stocked kitchen, the fireplace, and the wonderful balcony. We share many memories and would love to visit again. The photos do not do this place justice!"

"The room was clean and spacious. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The bathroom was quite cold but it was very cold outside. Easy entrance and exit to the room. "

"The Lazy River cabin was excellent! Clean, quiet, and charming, with an cozy wood stove and a great hot tub. Plenty of space to sleep, heated floors in the basement, well stocked with towels and linnens, the dishwasher worked very well as did any kitchen equipment we used. The only issues we had were extremely minor. As usual with "rentals," the knives were quite dull. There was a loud heat pump on the upper level (it faded into the background quickly, but it was much louder than the identical unit on the first floor), and the hot tub couldn't maintain its temperature when the air was below about 20F. There were also only two working lamps in the cabin (plenty of ceiling lighting, though!). Again, all minor issues.We had an amazing stay."

"When in Decorah The Fairfield Inn offers a great modern and new facility that has easy access on the west side of town. The staff, room and overall impression is outstanding. One of the best places to stay in town. "

"Great spacd for a big family, it had a lot of rooms and beds. The house definitely needs some TLC and needs a deep cleaning. We had fresh mouse droppings on the counters so had to set a trap and caught it. The house was extremely cold on the main level and basement as we couldnt find the right thermostates for all the rooms. Overall great views, needs some cleaning but enjoyed time with family "
