"The hotel is modern and well-maintained, with an excellent location. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Breakfast was very good, with a wide selection. They kindly offered us two adjacent rooms as requested and accommodated a late checkout at a reasonable price. A particularly thoughtful touch was the fruit tray they provided for my birthday. We will certainly book again—everything was really appreciated. "

"Beautiful historic building with severe limitations. The physical appearance of the property is impressive but the rooms miss modern conveniences like electrical outlets (seriously!) and any way to regulate heat. On the plus side, the resturant is quite nice and the young staff are very kind and professional. If you have a car and wish to park, be careful to have them explain to you in detail which is the hotel lot and which is the city parking lot, because you will be fined if you are in the wrong one. There is construction work going on in April 2026 and though it was not that intrusive, if you are sensitive to noise or worker chatter that could be an issue---it was not for me. Overall it was a nice stay in a lovely part of Czechia, but probably not worth the cost."

"I have stayed at this hotel five times, but after this last three-day stay, I can say with certainty that I will never return. To be absolutely clear: the young woman who checked me in was extremely kind, professional, and courteous. Unfortunately, her attitude was completely overshadowed by the unacceptable behavior of the older woman working at reception on the morning of December 27. After I properly provided my room number at breakfast so the charge could be posted to my room—a normal and previously accepted practice—this employee chose to publicly confront me, raise her voice, and create a humiliating scene in front of other guests over a simple billing issue. There was no attempt at discretion, no professionalism, and no basic respect. Instead of quietly checking the system or handling the matter privately, she acted in an aggressive, accusatory, and hostile manner. This was not a misunderstanding—it was gross incompetence combined with an unacceptable attitude. Publicly embarrassing a guest over a breakfast charge is beyond unprofessional and reflects extremely poor management, lack of staff training, and a complete disregard for customer dignity. This behavior is unacceptable in any hotel, let alone one that expects repeat guests. Because of this experience, I strongly discourage anyone from staying here. If management tolerates this type of conduct, guests should expect the same disrespect."

"I booked a 3-night single room starting on the same day through Hotels.com. They told me they'd get back to me one day prior to my lodging start, but they got back to me within an hour with instructions. Which were majorly wrong. First, there was no house door security, so anyone off the street could walk in - I never saw the house door closed. The back door was also open, so there was free passage from the road to the back yard. A cat had just birthed 3 kittens, and they used the house living room as a playground. Good for them, but not so good for the large couch, as it was such a great place to try out their new claws. Also not so good for those with cat allergies. I'd asked for a table or desk in the room when booking. I never got a reply, nor table nor desk. There was a dresser, but when I opened the drawer to put something in - the drawer had no bottom. The upstairs bathroom was nice, but by my 3rd night, the TP was down to just a few squares left. A towel was provided. The soap situation was unclear. The trash was already in a large heap by the front gate when I got there, and it just kept growing. It just didn't match my notion of Austrian tidiness. Most upsetting was that the internet didn't work for me, nor for the other guests I asked as they sent the wrong password. I contacted Camelotolels on WhatsApp via a local hotspot at a local eatery, but the non-native English person was not helpful. Another tenant the next day told me the correct password. "
