"Room was nice though a little small. Also had a terrace with 2 loungers. Bathroom floor was heated. Access to free bikes to ride up the coast was great. Easy access to a great secluded beach that you roped down to was unique. Nice pool. Really cool vegetable garden where you could eat tomatoes off the vine and pick a watermelon to eat. Also could get leaves from vegetable garden to go feed the goats and Violet (the donkey). Goats always happy to see us. Violet sometimes was in a mood but...

"The vibe was so calm and relaxing. The breakfasts had a huge variety of food, and were tasty. The beds were less firm than usual Portuguese standards, but quite firm by UK standards. The pool was a delightful respite from daily life and as it was quiet, we often had the whole space to ourselves. The staff were lovely. The local town was a bit quiet, and developing in tourism. But the hotel offered free bikes to go and explore. A lovely place to stay for deep relaxation over a long weekend, and...

"The apartment was clean and is set in a nice garden with a lovely pool area the rear. There are a few things to be aware of for guests that weren’t clear from the listing - and if they work for others than all good. The first is that there were no staff on site. Like an Airbnb, we were provided with an access code to the room that was activated at 4pm (so don’t expect to arrive any earlier and get access). "Very, very thin walls - you can hear everything your neighbours are doing. Very dated place, cupboards, electrical & furniture need replacing as they are quite disgusting, pretty dirty through wear & tear over the years. Staff great, but only so much they can do. Road to place dreadful, ideally suited to a 4x4 vehicle, not an ordinary rental car. "
