  • Tucked away in a private setting and surrounded by two acres of Maine forest, this charming, two-story vacation rental is the perfect home-away-from-home for your next getaway to Southport Island. Bright, pristine, and newly-built, this four-bedroom home features vaulted ceilings, comfortable furnishings, and more than a few nods to the great state of Maine with its decor and artwork. The open floor plan includes a well-equipped, island kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a large dining table with seating for eight, and a cozy living area with a Netflix-ready flatscreen TV. Outside, enjoy the sights and sounds of the woods from the furnished deck where you can socialize or fire up the grill and dine in the open air. And when it's time to call it a night, you'll find four comfortable bedrooms here including one king suite, two rooms with queen-size beds, and a kids' room with two twin bunks.

    This home is within walking distance of Cozy Harbor and only a mile from Hendricks Head Lighthouse and the adjacent beach area offering terrific views and opportunities to swim in the cool waters and catch tiny crabs in the seaweed. Family getaway

We really enjoyed our time at the house and Southport. Walk to “Maine” version of a beach, and very close to the towns shopping/food/activities at the harbor.

Great get-away home for a family with friends

The home layout was great, kids had enough room to be in different places and not on top of each other. The property was good for the boys to go exploring/ fishing and being just a short drive from Boothbay the location was perfect. While in the area we also visited Damariscotta and New Harbor and they never disappoint.

Great house, peaceful setting

The house was perfect and had everything we needed, including a lobster pot. The first floor master bedroom is very spacious and the other 3 bedrooms were more than enough to accommodate everyone in our group. The back deck was perfect to sit outside and talk and enjoy the silence. Would definitely rent this house again!

The house was very much as advertised. It was roomy and the photos were very accurate. The house was also quite clean when we arrived. It is a good house. There was one minor hiccup. We had asked for the air conditioning to be set up in the Primary Bedroom and Vacasa contacted us and said they would set it up prior to our arrival. When we got there, the A/C unit was in the primary suite closet but it was not set up. The set up requires it be vented through a window. We were able to get it to work on our own after a little work, but it would have been preferable to have it ready. It may be that the local manager did get it set up prior to our arrival but that after he/she did that, housekeeping removed it from the window when they were finished cleaning to make sure the house was secure. But this was a relatively minor thing and the house had plenty of windows and fans to keep it relatively cool despite the warm temperatures that week.

Fantastic property for a family stay

This property was wonderful! Great location for exploring Southport Island and nearby Boothbay Harbor. Well appointed, comfortable, felt immediately at home. The kids loved the bunk room and the ping-pong table in the basement. Comfy beds and really nice laundry machines. We would definitely stay here again!

We and our friends had a fabulous time during our stay here! Such a lovely, clean, quiet, spacious yet cozy space to land each evening after adventures in and around Boothbay Harbor. Great place. One of the better houses I've stayed in, clean, well maintained, spacious, with a kitchen equipped with everything and more. The house itself is isolated in the heart of a grove but close to everything you want to do in the area. I would love to come back.

The property was amazing. The house was big & open. Plenty of space for us. The beds were very comfortable. The house was clean, and our only suggestion would be to make sure the vent in the 1/2 bath is cleaned, and the base boards in the full baths be replaced. They’re very rusty. Other than that it was prestine. It was perfectly located for our trip! Thank you!

Near Family at the Winter Holidays
