"This spot couldn’t be better! Bright and sunny. Spacious bedroom, bathroom, living area and kitchen. Great appliances in kitchen if you choose to cook. Short walk to Southport beach. Perfect private location. Stellar area for a bike ride (bikes provided) . Tons of fabulous restaurants and shops. We stayed for two weeks and it wasn’t enough. Can’t wait to return. Our host, Jeff, did so much to make our stay remarkable. "
"We had a great stay due to the home’s perfect location - quiet, beachfront, with easy access to area hot spots - and so many visible fireworks displays across the water, we lost track. The patio is perfect for enjoying meals outside and a few steps stroll across the street you’re on the beach making s’mores for dessert. The house could be amazing with more TLC. We weren’t surprised by this as it is what the pictures show. However the unexpected for me, was what I’ll call the one dimensional hospitality. What you see in pictures is your experience. As you read reviews for other properties you see throughout reference to “the little things” that really set a rental apart. There is none of that here. What you see in the picture is literally what you get. For instance, upon arriving we had to search the home to find towels. There were none in the bathrooms. Also, there is only one beach towel so it’s apparently BYO when it comes to beach towels. This isn’t mentioned in the listing so we were unprepared. Did towels ruin our vacation? Of course not. But if you’re looking for “the little things” - you won’t find that here but you can still create an idyllic 4th of July weekend. "
