Sun Ray #3A - Pet Friendly, 3min Walk to Beach
Sun Ray 3A is a great 1 Bedroom / 1 Full Bathroom condo centrally located on the gulf side of the island and close to everything. This recently remodeled condo on the third floor of the Sun Ray 6-plex, has a Master Bedroom with a Queen size bed, one bunk bed in the extra wide hallway and a Full size sleeper sofa in the living room, which can comfortably sleep up to 6 guests. The condo has A/C, two streaming TVs, fast internet with WiFi, and a kitchen equipped with Stainless Steel appliances, granite counters and cooking needs such as dishes, utensils, microwave, coffeemaker, blender and toaster. The dining area sits 4 and for your convenience it has a washer/dryer combo in the unit. The location of the building is very convenient by having lots of amenities within walking distance.
This pet friendly unit is ideal for families and families with children, romantic weekends, BFF girls vacations, fishing trips, business trips, winter Texans and Spring Breakers (Notes: Responsible person must be 25 years old or older and a staying guest during the rental period. For Spring Break and Easter week rentals there are additional requirements which includes additional refundable deposits – Minimum age requirement is 21 to rent during these two seasons – Approved pets require a non-refundable one-time pet fee per pet/stay - 2 pets max).
There is one assigned parking spot per unit. The back patio has a portable charcoal grill available for guests. NO POOL, but a very SHORT WALK TO THE BEACH.
Please note there is a hotel with a bar on the other side of the back fence, and it may have live music or a DJ.

I highly recommend this place made us feel like home. Staff and Mr Robert. Went above and beyond. Super clean and very comfortable. We will be returning next year.
Very nice condo, clean , spacious, had everything you need in a condo, walking to beach, walking distance to eating, grocery store, bars. Shopping, we had the best time, will book for next year in same location! A big plus it has a washer and dryer,
The location of the condo was excellent, just a short 3-4 minute walk to the beach, and a quick 5-minute drive to restaurants, bars, nightlife, and grocery stores.
Our main issue was the lack of cleanliness. We ended up buying a mop to clean the floors because they were in terrible condition. There was hair on the towels and pillowcases, and the walls had some gunk on them. We totally understand that this is Padre and it's known as a 'party' place, but we simply wanted a clean space to stay. The condo itself is fantastic, but it really needs a thorough cleaning and some maintenance, including a fresh coat of paint.
Lastly, the dehumidifier was helpful, but we had to empty it multiple times a day/each time we returned - to avoid feeling damp and sticky. I recommend having the A/C system checked as well.
The property was cozy and worked well for our family. I loved the bunk beds built into the nook in the wall. That was such a great use of space. There was plenty of room for the six of us. We enjoyed our stay on Padre Island. Where we stayed, there is a pool outside the bedroom window and the groups are very loud are out there very late at night (until close to 2:00 a.m.) Since we were on vacation, it wasn't a huge inconvenience, but it was annoying.
While a lovely spot, the “sleeps 6” description speaks more to physical bedspace than practicality of actually having six people get a good night‘s rest. It’s a bit cozy for 6. ;)
Master Bed mattress and sheets could use an upgrade, for comfort. Blinds in Master Bedroom also missing any ability to be adjusted.
A lovely spot for a weekend getaway for 2!
