The Space:
Welcome to our Bahia Mar resort ground level 2 bedroom two bathroom condo unit #418.
This condo is perfectly situated near one of the 2 pools and hot tubs, so you can walk straight out to the amenities like the community sun deck with chairs or tennis courts.
There is an open concept kitchen that is reasonably updated that flows into the living room and out to the outdoor patio. Kitchen has pots, pans dishes, etc. ready to go.
The living room has a large smart TV & two large couches one of which is a sleeper sofa. Other bedding includes a queen in the master bedroom with an en suite full bathroom, and a guest bedroom with 2 queen beds. We do provide an airbed with pump - please bring bedding if you plan on using it or the sofa bed.
Up to 8 guests are provided, just realize what the bedding is we have stated here please. 6 is more comfortable unless some of your human count are kids :)
There is another full bathroom for guests as well as a stackable washer & dryer which comes in handy.
Bahia Mar is very resort like, and this condo provides 2 off street parking spaces, there is security at the complex, and it is in a great walkable location to Clayton's Beach Bar, Bar Louie, Barry's Beach Bar & more for food & drinks.
This is an older non remodeled or updated condo. It is value priced for beachfront but we don't want disappointments its not new and perfect.
IF you have some work to do, there is Wi-Fi/internet provided, though spectrum the provider can be spotty.
Please inquire about off season discounts Sept 15 to Dec 15 for stay over 4 nights. We do have active military as well as football coach discounts - just ask before you book please not after :)
Pets are ok. Up to 1 dogs. Fee of $75 per pet applies. If you do not disclose a pet we must evict with no refund so please be kind :)
Pet rules:
1.) May not be left alone to bar
2.) Must be on leash at all times on property
3.) May NEVER be in pool area
4.) Cannot be on furniture
5.) Must pick up all pet droppings
Failure to do so will result in a fee of $150 to card on file OR you may face eviction with no refund - sorry. They are welcome but here are our rules :)
Property is professionally managed by local South Padre Island Trips at 2600 Padre Blvd. We do offer free linen exchange for stays over 3 nights.
You must read & agree to ALL house rules prior to booking - failing to do so is not a reason for a cancellation nor refund request so please review :)
We provide an electronic code to enter the property prior to 3 pm day of check in to the number on file, not before.
You must have completed the rental agreement and attached a photo of your picture ID, read the house rules.
We will not provide door code for entry without these being done nor will we offer a refund for this just to clarify
We provide all bed sheets, blankets, bath towels, face towels, hand towels, basic soaps & shampoos and a starter pack of dishwasher pods, trash bags, coffee, filters, creamer, and sweetener. These supplies are a starter pack and not unlimited nor re supplied.
Door codes are provided by 3 pm via text message for check in, FYI

This property does require the use of condo security wristbands that have a fee of $35 plus tax for every occupant in the the month of March. This is the property HOA's fee and not ours, but we do pre collect via the airbnb resolution center for convenience.

Getting Around:
Getting around South Padre Island is easy! You'll find convenient access to local attractions and amenities. While the island is very walkable, you'll find ample free parking on the premises, with two designated off-street spaces for your use. Additional parking is available at the Inter Modal bus station or the post office. For those arriving by air, the closest airport is Brownsville South Padre Island International Airport (BRO), approximately a 35-minute drive away. Consider using ride-sharing services or renting a car for exploring the island and surrounding areas. Public transportation options are limited on the island, so a car is often the most convenient way to travel. Golf carts are also a popular way to get around the island.
Other Things to Note:
Please take note of the following important details to ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay. Check-in time is at 3:00 PM, and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request, subject to availability. Two off-street parking spaces are provided. For stays in March, a mandatory wristband fee applies, as required by the HOA. This fee is $35 plus tax per occupant. Please purchase wristbands in advance. The property has a strict no-smoking policy. Pets are welcome, with a fee of $75 per pet. Please adhere to pet rules: pets must be leashed, are not allowed in pool areas or on furniture, and all droppings must be picked up. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 9:00 AM. Please ensure the thermostat is set to 78 degrees, wash all dishes, and take out the trash upon departure. Failure to do so may result in a cleaning fee. We provide a starter pack of essential supplies; these are not replenished. The primary guest must be at least 25 years old unless agreed otherwise. We look forward to your visit!

We enjoyed the close location to the beach and all the facility amenities (pool, security, fresh grass for the dogs.) Improvement suggestions include fixing the back door so it’s easier to lock/unlock, fixing the water leak in the living room window.

Property is nice, beach and pool were great! Condo felt really dirty and bathroom sinks and showers were not draining well. Condo is dated, which is what was advertised and is fine, but it didn’t feel clean or comfortable. Dryer was broken so they graciously exchanged towels for us, which we definitely appreciated. For the price though, I think some improvements should be made. Maybe use couch covers you can clean periodically. Check in and check out were super easy.
I love how close it to the beach front(surf side) would like to book again on next visit back home.

The condo is decent it has minimal necessities you need for cooking, towels only for bathing,etc…the kitchen is very small, my husband and I barely fit cooking, the place is dingy and outdated inside and out, there were roaches coming out of the kitchen and the utensil drawers, and there is no gear to take to the beach. The location is great right next to the pool and the beach.

This was our 3rd time saying at this location With exception that this time I wanted 1st floor But I was in for a surprise This unit has very outdated furniture and very dirty, Floor was dirty with hair in the bathrooms, door handle was loose and was hard to open the door to the patio. I was afraid to open it because it could fall off, restroom did not have toilet paper holder, saw many rouches all over the kitchen . Window by the living room had water which it makes place moist And it’s destroying chick rock. Only one cooking pan and super small Couldn’t do much with that I’m very disappointed this time We pay the same prices as we had in the past for a better experience No light at the entrance making hard to enter password .
