This one bedroom one bath condo is situated right on the beachfront offering beautiful beach views from the 5th floor. The master bedroom entails one king bed and the living room has a queen sofa sleeper making this a comfortable accommodation for four. The kitchen has been recently updated and is fully stocked with all of the dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and appliances you will need to prepare meals. There is direct access to the beach from the pool area making it easy to relax in the sun. Restaurants and shops are also located within walking distance of the condo. We had a wonderful stay at this condo! The location is fantastic—right by the beach with a beautiful ocean view and easy, convenient access to the sand. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. The only downside, and the reason I’m giving 4 instead of 5 stars, was that the bed linens hadn’t been washed when we arrived, which was disappointing. Aside from that, everything else was great, and we really enjoyed our time here. With a bit more attention to cleanliness, this place would be perfect!

My hubby and I had a great time! The accommodations were very clean and comfortable. SPI rentals did a great job communicating with me prior to arrival and made sure we knew exactly where to go to check in, restaurants and boutique guides were at our fingertips.. The condo was exactly as represented in the online pictures and the view to the beach spectacular. I would highly recommend So Padre as a fun , relaxing vacation destination and would definitely stay with SPI rentals again! Karen and Mike

Nice location Washer and dryer not working Says under warranty so should have been repaired easily Office let me know 1 week in advance so too late for me to make other plan Large element on stove not working Killed 3 cockroaches in bathroom Nice bed, shower and comfy furniture Nice building, quiet and nice landscaping & elevator Staff very friendly! Managed well I love South Padre & plan to keep visiting every year! Never rented through SPI but definitely would again! Thanks!

South Padre tar on the beach

The pool is really clean, there is tar washing up on the beach we found out 1st day on the feet and scrubbing with palmolive and green sponge (a lot of people got it on them) disappointed the barndoor for the toilet area is inconvenient during the night and early morning The elevator slow, it works- a new broom is needed, the skillets are all scratched teflon, overall ok

Anniversary Getaway

This condo on the beach in South San Padre Island was a wonderful, peaceful place to stay for our 35th Anniversary. The condo was lovely with beach decor throughout & a very comfortable oversized king bed. The unit was larger than expected & as you walk in you see the beautiful blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico through the wall to ceiling glass windows, which was a very nice first impression! There's a short walking path from the building to the beach & hardly anyone was there in mid April, after Spring break. The locals told us that local law enforcement cracked down hard on the Spring break partiers the year before so this year was real quiet. We rented a fun little Golf cart (which are for rent up & down the main street) & got a great view of the island. We recommend taking the dolphin watching boat tour...saw many of them! We found great restaurants every night & a little market for extras in walking distance. We'd highly recommend this condo!

Ocean Front Condo Lacking

View from the balcony was beautiful. Loved the bedroom. However, the pillow cases were for a full size bed and this was a king size. Five pillows stuffed in the closet that I wouldn't let my dog sleep on. Now on to why I would never stay here again. One hour into our stay a potential serious electrical problem occurred. My daughter plugged in her phone charger in a socket behind the night stand. Smoke and sparks...called the leasing office immediately and spent an hour with a maintenance man trying to solve the problem. A 6 plug outlet plugged into another 6 plug outlet that was also plugged into a 2 plug wall outlet that out had shorted out. Definite safety/fire hazard for the entire building! Rust in stoppers in the kitchen sink, no disposal and the kitchen needs a complete update. Mold in the shower. Two weeks after booking I received a call from the Leasing Office saying there was no washer/dryer. It was listed as having one, so I questioned. Said was out of order and they had removed it from the site. It was still on the site and when we arrived it was a new set but unable to use (Out of Order sign). Inconvenient for a traveler going to the beach! Impossible to dry towels in a humid environment. Beach chairs/umbrella were offered but again two weeks after booking I was told the tent we ordered was recalled and offered us two umbrellas. Had to carry them to the beach with the chairs in the AM and PM. Sofa in LR uncomfortable. 12th stay in SPI. 1st disappointment!

Perfect getaway

This property is just perfect for a couple. It is.very clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen and bathroom are well stocked with supplies. The location is excellent looking out on the beach. The properties 2 swimming pools are very nice and the grounds taken very good care of.

La International problems

Continuously struggling to get key to open front door. BUGS, patio door hard to open/close. Advertisment didn't picture property honestly. No way will property hold 6 people. We won't stay there again.

Desperately Needs Updating and Repairs

The Washer and Dryer in the unit were out of service and we were not told of this; front burner on the stove did not work; there was rust around the kitchen drain; blinds in the bedroom did not function properly; there were no outside bathrooms by the pool; entire unit was in desperate need of remodeling including the front door which was not that secure as the only lock was the keypad and an old rusty chain. The only redeeming quality for this rental was the view. We will not be staying here again.

Frustrating

Our only complaint is we drive 12 hours to get there and we we're told our check-in time is 4 PM when we get there they say the room is ready but they're just checking it we can go in shortly. We wait over an hour call back. Then we're told the room is not ready. It's so frustrating when you are tired and just wanting to rest and go to the bathroom. thankyou

Wonderful Week In SPI

Our week in the Beach House II was perfect. The unit was clean and stocked with everything we needed. The view to the Gulf was beautiful and the balcony was great for morning coffee. Upon arrival the elevator had just broken, but the management fixed it promptly the next morning and no further issues. The grounds were well kept and parking was ample. It is right in the middle of the Island, so everything was accessible within just a few minutes. We recommend this unit and the building. Thanks.
