Wonderful house and property that evoke another time when things were (or at least seemed) more tranquil. Great access to all that the Berkshires has to offer. Dog loved it too!
We loved that the family has been coming to this home for generations. The trails through the woods, the quiet deck and secluded location all added to our delightful stay. We are booked again in October for "leaf peeping"!
We had such a lovely stay at this beautiful house.
Everything and anything you could need was supplied in abundance. We enjoyed spending time on the deck and walking the grounds. The location was perfect. Very close to everything. We will rent again.

Great Stay
The house was everything it was billed to be. Quiet, yet close to everything. Beautiful grounds. House well equipped. Had a wonderful time.
An old, historic home with wonderful modern amenities!
The house was immaculate and had everything we needed!
We walked the trails on the property and sat out on the spacious back deck!
This property is a treasure!
Our family stayed at the Redway House for a long weekend in October and couldn’t be happier that we did. We felt remote and isolated which was so nice and relaxing, but we were only a short drive to multiple towns and events. The house was clean and so well stocked with everything we could possibly need (linens, toiletries, kitchen items, etc). Would definitely recommend staying at The Redway House to anyone looking for a unique getaway in the Berkshires.

New years 2025!!
I believe this was our 5th visit ~ always in January. We love just relaxing by the fire and late lunches in the Tavern Room at the Red Lion. We absolutely love it and look forward to next year. Thank you for sharing it with us!
Wonderful, quiet place that we thoroughly enjoyed with our dog Pippa. Minutes from Stockbridge and Lenox, but you really don't have to go anywhere if you want to escape! The owners are uber friendly, and they have created just the coziest spot with everything one would need. We will be back!

Awesome house and property!
If you'd like to truly get away from it all ... but be only a few minutes from everything the Berkshires has to offer .. Redway House is the choice for you! Comfy beds (and has KING beds), plenty of towels and a well stocked kitchen are top features for most people. For us, the deck with a quiet view of the fall foliage and the walking trails throughout the property are the highlights! I can see us staying at this home again ... in all seasons!

Wonderful Stay
This is my second visit to the Redway House. The homeowner's care and attention to detail surpasses all expectations. You are left wanting for nothing as they anticipate your every need. I thank them for sharing their lovely home with my family during the holiday season. I look forward to our next visit.
We were impressed with the property, the house, and quaintness of the place. It was a well preserved, older home with charm to spare. Every detail was attended to including phone chargers, flashlights, cushions, comfortable chairs, kitchen appliances, everywhere you expected one might be.
We all agreed that we slept exceptionally well. It was convenient to both Tanglewood and Lenox, as well as Stockbridge and the Great Barrington area.
We would definitely return to this cozy retreat.
Beautiful setting, charismatic house, well equipped.
Wonderful old house with character, great beds, great fireplace, good kitchen (missing only a 9x13 baking dish - but we made lasagna in a round baking dish)!
We walked by the river in Great Barrington, visited the old courthouse/library/gallery in Lenox and walked Lenox in the rain then warmed up at delicious cafe Shots. It was just a long weekend, but we plan to return so we can explore trails on property and visit more local sights. Appreciate the welcome book/visitors guide provided by owners! This place feels like family, and I love the protection of the land.
The Redway House is charming and the property is gorgeous. Tad and his family go above and beyond to make you feel at home. The entire house is fully stocked with perfectly clean bedding, incredibly comfortable pillows, and all outdoor essentials. The property is huge and impeccably maintained, and the lovely trails are a huge plus. Lanterns light up the walking paths at night, and the location makes for a perfect night sleep because you cannot hear a sound out here other than those of Mother Nature. I highly recommend staying at the Redway House because of everything I said above, but also because of the location. I'm from the Berkshires and have stayed in a lot of different rentals and areas, and this is by far the most convenient location if you are visiting South and North County. Oh, and I forgot to mention our dog Ralphie absolutely loved it here. He had so much fun on the trails and laying out on the beautiful deck. 10 out of 10 - would recommend!

Slice of heaven
We come every January for my husband’s birthday to just sit by the fire & read. It’s the perfect quiet and comfortable get away!
Private hideaway but only a few minutes from Stockbridge and 20 minutes from Lenox. Comfortable, well stocked, and in an absolutely beautiful setting! Adults and kids loved it!
We had a very pleasant stay. The host thought of every little detail. The accommodations were comfortable and the location was beautiful. We really enjoyed the sunny deck.

What a beautiful property! My family of four plus our dog had an amazing long weekend relaxing on the grounds and exploring the surrounding area. Of note are the expansive lawn (great for dogs and kids) and the cozy historical house, especially the deck and dining room. We'd love to stay here again!

Wonderful property and Great location. Looking forward to renting next year.
I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed spending Christmas at the Redway House. The host thought of everything possible to make our stay comfortable. This historic home is beautifully maintained and the best equipped of any place I’ve ever stayed. We enjoyed the fireplace every night, and the peace and quiet of the surrounding 100 snow-covered acres added to the serenity of the entire experience. That, combined with a short drive to Main Street in Stockbridge made for the most memorable Christmas imaginable. We couldn’t have asked for more.
We stayed here with my parents and toddler son and it was great. The house was really wonderful, has everything you could possibly need in it. The location is amazing, on a large forested area with easy walking paths. The owners were super responsive and came to fix an issue when it popped up immediately.
We've stayed here a couple of times and will certainly return again. The home has been in the family for generations and you can feel the love for it. It's very well appointed, cozy and charming.
If you're going to the southern Berkshires, this is the place to stay. The location is fantastic - minutes from the Berkshire Botanical Garden, Great Barrington, Stockbridge, and tons of parks. The house is down a quiet road with friendly neighbors. We visited in the fall and the property was gorgeous, and the owners have taken the time to build trails all over so you can get in some lovely walks. The porch was also a great place to hang out. There's fast internet service, comfortable beds, hot water with good water pressure, washing machine, dishwasher, a doggie gate for the porch...all the modern conveniences, with none of the urban hassle. The owner is friendly and has thought of everything on this one. It's clear this is a well-loved home. Plus it's historical (built in 1757)! This was a great vacation and we highly recommend staying here!
