Scott's Place is a nice home located on 2.5 acres in a private setting with plenty of room. Enjoy the outdoors while grilling and eating dinner on the deck overlooking a spacious backyard. Start a fire in the fire pit and roast marshmallows. It's a great place to sit back and relax.

The house is located one block from a bluff overlooking a gorgeous view of Lake Michigan with the South Pier in the background. We're 3/4 of a mile down the road from the South Beach and Kids Corner and South Haven is a great place for dining, shopping and outdoor fun along the lakeshore.

Weekend getaway

The house was very nice and in a super location, very close to the lake, downtown shoppes and restaraunts. Owner was quick to answer any and all questions. Would definitely book again.

Great, affordable beach vacay

The property was great. It had everything we needed. We had no issues during our stay and enjoyed the short walk to the beach. Nothing too fancy but clean and quiet.

My friends and I had a wonderful time in South Haven. Scott’s place was the perfect spot! Great, comfy beds, a well-stocked kitchen, and a beautiful backyard helped us feel comfortable while in town. We would love to stay there again!!

cozy and clean

The house is very clean, cute and comfortable. Some touch up painting on the ceiling would go along way, bur just don't look up😉 We enjoyed our stay. Also, make sure to walk the one block for a wonderful overlook of the lake.

Girls Getaway

We really enjoyed our time at the house and in South Haven. We especially liked the fire pit, proximity to beach and how tidy the cottage was. The garden bed out front and area beneath the deck is pretty overgrown. Loved coffee and drinks on the deck though!

Nice place

The house was a good deal, about a block from the lake and close to the retail and restaurant area. We enjoyed our stay and made use of the fire pit after scrounging up some wood from the woods adjacent to the yard. Beds were comfy, enjoyed watching lots of deer wandering through the yard. November weather precluded our hanging out on the deck, but it’s a nice set up.

Had a very nice stay here. The beds were soooo comfortable. the towels were the best. Not a fan of microfiber but these were great. Not too far from the beach and pier. Quiet area. Scott was always available for questions and responded right away. Would stay here again. Valeri

nice stay

Overall our stay was good. Great yard, however it wasn’t mowed. That didn’t stop us from enjoying the yard though. We enjoyed the toys available outside on the property for the kids. It Had nearly everything we needed and was as described. We really appreciated that there was plates and cups for the kids. If we could change some things it would be to have more attention to details/cleanliness (cob webs in corners, basement was creepy- that’s where laundry was, doors were sticky opening and closing, front door key pad has seen better days- faded numbers, a bit loose), house was warm at night, even with A/C and fans. Location was great as well.

Not a bad place, but just not for us

The good: You can hear the lake from the property. The backyard is very pretty. The house was quite clean. The beds were comfortable. The back room and deck were quite lovely. Scott was responsive. The not so good: It's a solid 30-minute walk at a brisk pace to downtown. Quite a bit farther down Monroe Blvd than we realized when booking. It was a bit light on the little things, like there wasn't a hair dryer. The towels and washcloths were synthetic fiber, maybe microfiber? They don't move easily across wet skin. And we had a bat in the house at 2 a.m. Not just a little fruit bat, either. A big brown bat with a wingspan of about a foot that was very freaked out and flying everywhere, high, low, at your head.... We managed to shoo it outside and I let Scott know. He said he will be looking into it. I suspect it came from the basement, as the house is pretty solid, but the basement has lots of spots bats might like, and there's a large gap in the door to the basement. We stuffed a towel in the gap after the bat incident just in case he had friends living down there. Also, WiFi can be dodgy, especially if there's a sudden crush of visitors in town, which there was. Scott was nice and there are good things about the house, but overall this property just wasn't for us.

Me and some of my girl friends stayed here for a bachelorette weekend!! It was the perfect location for us to earlier drive to the shops and the beach. The house definitely was older and has some miner fixes but nothing crazy! We enjoyed it a lot!!

As a former hotel maid, I wanted to go on record that this home is completely clean. My favorite part of the property was the peaceful back patio with an enormous sycamore tree and deer scampering by.

This property was a great stay. It is a short distance from downtown, good walkable neighborhood, and friendly neighbors. It house was clean. The owner was very attentive and the check in and check out was easy and convenient.
