This was a very good location and took us only about 10 minutes to get to the beach. The staff was super friendly and helpful! And our room was more than comfortable. We had a great stay!

I had car problems while at the hotel and the front desk and maintenance staff were extremely helpful getting me going and directing me to get additional assistance. Really helpful people who went above and beyond to help.

We paid extra for a whirlpool tub and the tub did not work. When I informed the front desk I did not receive an apology or anything just an "ok I'll make a note" The mini fridge also did not keep the drinks very cold. But the AC worked very well! The evening staff was very friendly.

Facilities were clean and nice in main lobby and breakfast area. Elevator was old and rickety. Third floor room was very run down with many broken tiles in bathroom, mold in cracks and stains on wall. Piece of baseboard tile fell off and I tripped over it as soon as we checked in. Blinds/curtain broken. Broken blinds on front of building show all the mess of the cleaning storage room on 2nd or 3rd floor. I expect things to be in a good state of repairs for almost $800 for 3 nights. Location was great. Our floor reeked of pot the whole time.

Hotel in general was very dirty. Walls were dirty, bathroom was dirty, and we even found someone else’s clothes in the dresser. Only reason we actually stayed instead of leaving was because the beds were decent and we were only there to sleep before continuing our travels. After checking out we realized we were double charged by the hotel after already paying through Expedia. I will say I did speak with management and she was very helpful in fixing the situation and said there would be a meeting about the cleanliness of the hotel to be brought up. But for an almost $200 room, the hotel was nowhere worth that amount and we will not stay there again.

This hotel needs a lot of work. I understand it is under new management so hopefully that will help. On the positive side, the staff at the front desk was nice and welcoming. And the location is very good to get to all attractions in South Haven. On the negative side, this hotel feels dated and worn. The rooms were not the cleanest. Also not sure what cleaning solution they use, but it was very strong and not pleasant. Someone mopped the hallway by the elevator and it was an unpleasant, powerful smell. The breakfast was just ok. They didn't keep things like the eggs replenished. If we had paid $100-120 for the night, I would have let most of this slip. But this room was over $300 for the night! That really was a major disappointment. To be fair, all rooms in South Haven were over $300/night. I've stayed at other Country Inn & Suites around the country and have always had a great experience. That's why I was so disappointed with our stay at this one. Hopefully they can make some positive changes.

All. Of the staff attendance was friendly, polite, respectful, funny and cater to my special need son. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Yes the room was cleaned, lobby was cleaned, the outside area was good. The pool was cold, that didn't stop my son for playing in it.
