This historic 1836 cabin offers a cozy retreat for family and friends, perfect for relaxing on the wrap-around porch with yard games and a hammock. Inside, an open concept kitchen features full-size appliances and adjacent living room has comfortable seating around a 55-inch smart TV. Additional amenities include an antique claw foot tub in one of two bathrooms.

Beautiful and Historic Log Cabin: cozy, quiet, huge hot tub! Quiet getaway!

Our historic log cabin is a comfortable, cozy home that was restored from its 1836 beginning. This cabin is perfect for a weekend (or week) of relaxing with family or friends.
Outside there is a grill for summer evenings spent on the wrap around porch. The sound of the wind through the nearby pine trees is a special country sound you don't get everywhere. Several yard games and a hammock along with plenty of lawn chairs are also on the porch. Off the porch is a huge 8 person hot tub with lights and jets for exceptional relaxation.
Another special outdoor experience (if you're lucky) is the sound of rain on the unique standing seam metal roof. It creates a cozy, happy atmosphere.
On the main floor we have an open concept kitchen with all the expected amenities like full size fridge with ice maker and stove and dishwasher as well as garbage disposal and French Press coffee maker. Adjacent to the kitchen dining room is a living room with comfortable seating around a 55" smart TV. DVD player is available if needed.
Off the living area is a full bathroom with an antique claw foot tub that helps the cabin to fit the era it was built in.
Up a flight up stairs you will find a full bathroom with tub/shower combo complete with extra toothbrushes, razors and soap and shampoo, kids play area on the landing and 2 bedrooms.
First bedroom is a generous sized room with queen bed, full size closet and sitting area.
Second bedroom houses a full sized bed and bunk bed.
Just so you are aware, we live here on the property and are often here during your stay if you need anything. We enjoy hosting family and friends on the weekends, so often we have people coming and going but it won't interfere with your privacy or stay at all.
Only guests listed in the reservation are allowed on the property. No extra guests without written permission.
Property is equipped with a Generac generator in case of power outage from storms, etc.

Great home away from home!

ND Weekend

This was a fun getaway, well prepared for our stay. We planned for a big ND Football weekend with friends and family and the cabin was very nice and a pleasant home base in between the revelry! Great setting and easy access for us only about 30 mins from campus.

A beautiful spot to relax

A friend and I met in Goshen for a few days of idyllic relaxation in this beautiful area and on this lovely property. The cabin was very clean and well appointed. Lots of attention to detail for renters' comfort. The wrap around porch and the hot tub were such a treat and we enjoyed sitting on the porch during a rain storm and listening to the water hit the metal roof. The bedrooms are very comfortable and we slept so well in the quiet countryside. There is lots to do in the area. We'd love to come back to stay again at the cabin.

Fantastic log cabin

The log cabin was fantastic. We felt like we were staying in a piece of history; but with air-conditioning 😊. Us guys are engineers and thoroughly enjoyed discovering how the cabin was originally constructed. The serenity of looking out over the corn-field in the early morning was delightful. An electrical storm knocked out the internet service but Melody was prompt to get us back on line.

Bachelor party

The cabin is beautiful. We setup a tee time at a local course and we were able to come back and chill. In the evenings we had a bonfire and played cornhole it was a great weekend for everyone

Clean, country cabin

Met up with some friends for our annual get together. This home was perfect for our group of 5. Very clean and comfortable. The wrap around porch was wonderful for reading and catching up. We played pickleball and relaxed in the hot tub. They had everything we needed. Espresso machine was a fun touch. Water pressure and temperate excellent. Owner was very responsive when we had a question. Overall great experience!

Cute cabin girls weekeme

This cabin is very cozy with a beautiful wrap around porch. The kitchen is well equipped should you want to cook during your stay and hot tub towels are provided which was very nice. The owners property is very close and kids were riding go carts around the adjacent property. I have kids so it didn’t bother me but it was not as secluded and private as the listing seemed to indicate. Otherwise I highly recommend this cabin and would book again.

No Better Getaway Spot

I booked this cabin as a birthday present for my partner and we stayed 3 days and 2 nights. The actual cabin vs the description was accurate, if not better! We truly enjoyed every aspect of this place. The main bedroom was comfortable, turkey burgers grilled were delicious, s’mores were super sweet in the fire pit, coffee and tea were tasty on the porch swing in the early morning (we pretended we were old and gray…), and the hot tub felt really nice against the cool wind in the evening. We even made two new friends, the kittens that roam the property. One even hung out with us for 2 hours by the fire! Seemed like a mini protector against the forces in the wild nature. We truly enjoyed our stay and it could not have been more perfect. We will be returning hopefully again soon, if not, then definitely a tradition to come yearly for the birthday celebrations.

Quiet getaway in a beautiful log cabin

This trip was exactly what we needed- a quiet stay in a beautiful log cabin. Loved the historical features, while adding modern amenities. And beautifully decorated. Got to visit Goshen and go antique shopping, visit the museum, etc and the town was very cute! Loved a relaxing dip in the hot tub, and enjoying a late night movie. It was a great stay to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and would definitely come again!

Beautiful Cabin & Wonderful Stay!
