Although our room wasn’t fully cleaned when we arrived and had to wait for that to get sorted and someone to come up do that, the property was pretty clean overall. We enjoyed the nice large pool and was never too crowded.

Ask for new section of the hotel

Location is good. We stayed at the old part of the hotel, AC is controlled by the front desk. Hair dryer was not working. Bathroom is very old. Picture shows the new part of the hotel which is much better. My first room was right next to an antique elevator.its impossible to sleep even with my ear plugs. Staffs are very friendly.

What an amazing experience! I booked an Airbnb that was not ideal and made this booking last minute. I liked it so much I stayed an extra day! So convenient, every single person that helped us was amazing and close to everything. I think I’m dove with Airbnb’s from now on. Beautiful property!

Front desk was super nice at check in and they gave us a complimentary upgrade to their newly renovated rooms. Clean and nice design in the room. Comfy beds. Breakfast upstairs was also nice. Only downside was the street noise outside.

If you like 60s Deco this is the place for you. Loved the art deco glass lighting and the lobby has a huge gathering space and bar. The pool was amazing and the staff at the morning buffet where wonderful. Its an easy 5-10 minute walk to downtown and Tasso Square where you will find awesome restaurants and shopping and most tour pickups. The only downside was our room was on the 1st floor facing the street so very noisy and smelly for car exhaust, I'd ask for room facing pool and higher up.

A Pleasant Stay

I stayed at the Flora for four nights during my first trip to Sorrento, and found it to be a pleasant experience. Where there might have been a few hiccups - my friend and I were placed in separate wings of the hotel, our rooms were not equitable etc. - all of this was balanced out (and potentially explained) by the reception staff's willingness to check us in earlier than planned. They answered our many questions, made it easy to navigate the hotel, and were professional throughout. Breakfast was excellent with a great selection and the waiters were very friendly and helpful. The pool was a true blessing after warm days out under the Sorrento sun. Overall, a great stay.

One of the worst hotels i have ever stayed at! They sold me an old room that is completely different than the picture! Bad AC, no working electricity sockets no safe, door doesn’t close properly! It was bad! And the staff is very limited with very slow response time! For this high price i would have booked a much better place!

Great location. About 7 minutes walk to Train and Bus station. Friendly staff. The only thing that I was dissatisfied with, we asked to call a Taxi to catch our tour to Capri at 7:30. The receptionist (forgot his name, but a tall with glasses middle age guy) called us a car but not a Taxi and for 7 minutes ride they charged us 30 Euro, and they even did not drop us at the Marina or the LIFT to the beach and we had to run around to find the lift & almost lost our tour. I am that glad they waited for us!

the location was excellent , 5 minutes walking distance from the train station and 10 from Piazza Tasso the pool was cleaned every night and was bright and clean the hotel is old and could do with renovation to modernize it which would make it a better hotel , we were given the wrong room when we arrived and after arguing with the reception they eventually agreed to move us the next morning , the room we moved into had an excellent sea and pool view as ordered but they need to update them, the electric sockets did not comply with the European socket ?? and we had to buy adaptors for this hotel was very clean though the bar was quiet and not much atmosphere and after 7pm it was empty , they should look at this to make a better atmosphere Breakfast was not bad but could be better

So we booked here due to this being the only hotel left on Sorrento with rooms £3000 for 5 days you would expect a little more than what we got ! My children in a different room on a different floor ! They are 4 7 and 12 !!! Really ! Rooms are dated and dirty the bathroom was mouldy with blown wood from the damp around the doors. This wasn’t the worst thing about the place. Maid tried to get in 8.50am into our rooms!!! Woke my children up ! Night staff rude Criss was aggressive and intimidated us to leave. Not a nice experience when you are in a foreign country with children. We left after 1 night they charged us for the whole stay even tho we told them How unhappy we was ! The pool area dangerous my youngest cut his arm on rusty nail ! Avoid this hotel absolutely shocking if give it a 1star ! We are in Sorrento for a family wedding. And this had really upset me on what should be a happy weekend away. Stole my sons sunglasses from his room when we asked they said nothing was in there when we know what we left ! Please avoid this place as it’s horrrific

0 stars if possible! In our opinion, the hotel is not safe from theft. We left a wallet with money out on the table when we went down to the pool. When we returned, the wallet and money were missing. We immediately reported this to the front desk, but they were dismissive, claiming a Manager was not on site, and telling us to wait until the next day. The next day, someone came to our room and confronted us about the theft with housekeeping present, saying the maid did enter the room but it was "impossible" that she stole the money, since she worked there for 10 years. We felt unsafe that this conversation was initiated with her present. We noted that there was no "do not disturb" sign, and we had no option to deny entry to the room while we were away. After this incident was dismissed, we went to the front desk to try to communicate, but we were told there was no proof of the theft, and nothing they could do. The staff seemed totally uninterested in assisting, and their callous reaction made us feel it was not an uncommon incident. We filed a police report, but in our opinion, the hotel should have been much more concerned with our report and making things right, as we believe the only possible explanation is the item was stolen by hotel staff. Following our experience, we found multiple other reviews mentioning theft and mirroring our exact experience. The hotel looks nice on the outside and is well located, but we feel it is not safe.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Grand Flora. The hotel is modern, accessible, and in a great location—just a short 7–10 minute walk to the center of Sorrento. We were pleasantly upgraded from a deluxe room to a suite with breathtaking views of the volcano and ocean. The staff were friendly, though service could be a bit more polished. Overall, a wonderful property with stunning views and an ideal location.
