Whenever we got back to the apartment there was a terrible smell and we had to open the windows. Room faced the main road so it was very noisy. The smell came from the sink in the toilets or there must have been some sort of ventilation issue.
On the 4th day we found ants everywhere in the morning. It may have been because I left a juice box on the table. Still... It was very unpleasant and hardly romantic.
This was an incredibly convenient hotel near shopping and restaurants. Price was right and nice condition. Parking is just down the street towards Grande Marina, but the hotel is difficult to locate. Look for the yellow building at the end of the one way street through downtown. It is across the street from the hospital. No elevator, but stairs are not bad. Our room was not on the street, so we were not bothered by any street noise. I would stay here again.

Nice place to stay on the Main Street in Sorrento
Stayed for 2 nights during July 2015. The rooms are very small and basic but, clean. We were only in them to sleep, as we were out all day. The hotel is on the Main Street in Sorrento around a 10 min walk from the train station. You can walk around Sorrento no problem, from the hotel. There is a room where you can help yourself to coffee, whenever you want and a little basket inside each room with snacks and cartons of juice and our room had a fridge with water inside for us.
Hotel staff was very friendly and nice but hotel was awful. Beds were extremely uncomfortable and the hotel was beyond noisy. Couldn't get a decent night sleep and heard absolutely every noise
The location was awesome - only a short walk to Sorrento's central piazza.

Good location
Small, clean basic family room kids loved bunk beds, a little road traffic noise but beds and pillows comfortable. Breakfast basket could be improved with crosiants and bread to go with jams. Appreciated the fridge in room, Rosa friendly on arrival but did not see her for rest of stay room service provided daily. Overall good basic accomodation suitable for a short 1 or 2 night stay.
Solo regular.
Handy location on main shopping road, 5mins to central square, 10mins to bus/trains. Breakfast basket came with jams, Nutella & juices with a great coffee making facility & microwave in the corridor. Everything was really clean with friendly and helpful staff. Almost 24hr traffic noise but surprisingly got used to it in the background & slept v well. This is not five star but for the price we were v comfy & happy. Having said that, we asked for the hotel to arrange a transfer from Naples Airport (about an hr away) & were greeted by a chauffeur type & Mercedes for not that much more than the official coach transfer.
A pleasant air conditioned room and very friendly reception staff. A good location close to the 'old town' in Sorrento. The only downside was a poor breakfast (our worst in a month long stay in Italy, generally staying in cheaper accommodation) the basket for which wasn't replenished with fruit juice each day unless we asked.
Totally exceeded expectations, located a reasonable stroll from the station this place is more self catering than a hotel, you get a key and reception is not manned 24hrs (there is a small kitchen with coffee maker and microwave for guests plus the free wifi and SKY tv) woman who welcomed us was so nice and helpful gave us a good talk through the local area and recomended some nice restaurants. We even got a personal e-mail from the hotel before we arrived (nice touch) the hotel has a bright and hap hazard colour scheme which I thought really made the place unique. Such a shame it only has 3 stars because it should be more considering the other "3 Stars" we stayed in around the area
Good location, close to "old city", about 10 blocks to train. Extremely steep walk from ferry dock, we took bus to Tasso Piazza and then walked 6 blocks to hotel. Breakfast was packaged items with coffee maker in common space. Staff was helpful and pleasant but available for limited hours. Room was air conditioned, internet was only available in reception area. There is no lift and hotel is 2 flights up.
We had a great stay at Diana City Hotel during the off-season in Sorrento ... the hotal is on the main road, and easily within walking distance from the train station. Great little restaurants very close by, and a couple little grocery stores across the street. The room itself was very clean, and very comfortable. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again!
not huge rooms, but plenty of space for 2 and as there is so much to do locally a bigger room wouldn't be needed. A 5-10 min walk from the train/bus station, likewise to the port. Our room was fairly quiet and clean, good air conditioning, wifi, built in hair drier and sky tv.
Staff were friendly and gave good advice, the one issue we had was a v firm mattress which they swapped for a softer one.
If you are looking for luxury then this isn't the place, but it is reasonable value, friendly and somewhere comfy to crash.
