Modern House with Heated Pool and Great Views

Modern mountain house in Altos del Maria, Panama, a gated comunity at just 1 hour and 30 minutes away from Panama city. The comunity has rivers, bird watching trails, and is only 25 minutes away from the pacific beaches. It´s a perfect place to take a break and relax. The house has a modern decor, infinity heated pool, 2 bedrooms with A/C, wifi, dishwashing machine, washer and dryer and great view of the mountains.

Beautiful location and a great host!

We absolutely loved staying at this property, and our host was very friendly and responsive to any questions or requests we had. We stayed for a whole month, so during our stay we ran into some issues here and there, but each time our host sent someone to fix them right away. The house could use some updates, particularly in the kitchen and bathrooms, and we ran into an issue with the water a couple times but overall the experience was amazing and has made us want to come back hopefully for a much longer stay next time.

The views and pool were amazing. It did lack some things like sufficient dishes and instructions for the home. Overall, it is a lovely property and the neighborhood is amazing.

Good review

This is a very nice property, and Diogenes is an amazingly wonderful host. We cannot say enough about the owner, his responsiveness and care, and excellent, attentive concern for any and all needs. The property is in need of some renewal to detail, such as caulking repair, blind repair, cabinet update in kitchen. But we do understand that this will require time down for rental income, considerable expense etc.

Beautiful Views and Adventure Opportunity

The view is priceless! The place while not huge, fit our family of 5. The pool is really special, especially on hot days. This very unique place includes stars you'd never see in a city, access to near-private waterfalls, and beautiful nature paths. However, we made the mistake of not renting (you have to have a private car to enter the gated community) a 4-wheel drive vehicle. This place NEEDS one even to just get up the driveway. Getting around the area is also hard without an SUV. You are not in a city so keep in mind, there are limitations being far from everything. HOWEVER, the owner is super nice, the place was cleaned so well, and we had an amazing time. Be open to an adventure and this place is just great!

Breath-Taking Mountain Views

The location of this house provides an incredible view of the mountains. The pool / outside area is fantastic with lots of room and a covered eating area which is practical, especially if you are going during the rainy season. All of the rooms have large windows opening up to the great mountain view and the amazing infinity pool which I took advantage of everyday. The 2 bedrooms are a little tight with one of the bedrooms having minimal storage space. Some furnishings are a little worn down and the house can use a little TLC (Tender Loving Care). It is located in a beautiful, tranquil gated community. There is a very small grocery store nearby with your basics, so I would recommend buying groceries at one of the larger stores on your way to the house. Diogenes was very responsive and helpful before and during our stay and was there to great us when checking in. I would recommend renting an SUV ( 4-wheel drive) as you are surrounded by mountains with steep roads when exploring the numerous waterfalls around the area.
