"Great location. Great for a long weekend getaway. The house has a lot of amenities for kids and adults both to enjoy the stay. We loved the pool, hot tub and the grill.Hosts are responsive, and they took care of a minor issue we had while we stayed.One thing I would warn fellow travelers is to pay attention to the bedrooms and bathrooms configuration so that there are no surprises. The configuration is a bit awkward."

"Hot tub was awesome. Got in every morning and night. The blanket they used for bedding was really nice and comfy. It does get hot in the loft/bedding area even with windows open (went in September). Campfire was nice too. Lake was pretty but too cold to get in for us but we sat out there for a while, put our feet in the water and had a moment to ourselves. We would totally love to bring the kids next time because they would have loved the lake area."

Beautiful, Modern Straw Bale House

"My daughters & I stayed 3 nights at Strawbale to celebrate my daughter's 50th birthday. When we stepped through the foyer into the home we were greeted by the best vibe & the house smelled gorgeous! There was so much to take in. The decor is interesting & lovely. The kitchen is huge & incredibly well stocked. Beds comfy & the house stayed a nice even temp day & night. It was mid 80's when we were there. Once outside, you can see all the effort that has gone into all the different areas where you can sit & take in the beautiful views. We saw turkey, a family of deer & a curious little fox each day we were there. Lisa's communication was by far the best I've ever experienced with a host. She was extremely helpful & obviously cares a great deal about her guests experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & look forward to returning, hopefully in the spring. Thank you Lisa & Brendan for a memorable stay."

"Wonderful house, so much to do when hanging out in the cabin, the bed mattress were premium quality, much better than the ones we’ve stayed in. The house was big, which we loved especially the game room and the room which has 5 beds, it’s much better than the pictures for sure. There was enough hot water for all 16 of us. Communication with host was exceptional, very friendly and helpful (even months before our trip). Thank you, for providing us with such great place to stay in . God bless."

"The host is AMAZING. She is the kindest!! She makes the most delicious breakfasts I maybe ever had. Her decorations are impeccable and the vibes there are great. There are so many cats there!!! If you love animals you will love it there. My boyfriend and I stayed there for two nights and three days and honestly I want to go back. We went during the summer so it was HOT (we knew that before we got there). She told us the best time to go is in the fall with all the pumpkins and fall vibes and I and am definitely going to come back during that time. I highly recommend going to the Knowles inn. It really doesn't matter when you go. You'll have a good time at any point in the year! :))"

"The solid house layout with all of the modern appliances was great. A word of caution that the front door is 41 stair steps up from the driveway (15 of which are more shallow) with no railings, making the climb difficult for our mobility-challenged member. But once inside, we all loved and enjoyed the house."
