"It was in a great location with a short walk to their lake front swimming area. It would have been helpful to have a ceiling fan in the room with the heatwave since there was no AC. They provided 1 fan, but since we had a triple that left our child without a fan. The restaurant was excellent for dinner and the included breakfast was great!"

"This is the nicest and most luxurious resort I've ever stayed in. We had a gorgeous, lake-view room on the 14th floor which, blissfully, was air conditioned. The staff was super nice and efficient and the breakfast buffet sumptuous. A wonderful experience!"

"This stay was amazing. The view from the balcony was beautiful, the amenities for the lake were awesome, and the room was very spacious as well. We unfortunately had a small gripe with how hot it was when we went. We found out later that if I had requested a fan I could’ve gotten one. The laundry machine is one tiny one for the whole building you have to pay to use in euro coins. Everything is about a 5-10 minute walk into the town. The bikes were awesome to use! Everything else was amazing truly but every little amenity is another charge to the room."

"Beautiful views of the lake and mountains behind it. The private balcony with sofa and chairs is especially impressive. Parking on site. An easy walk along the lake to St. Wolfgang downtown. A public swimming dock is very close by. Nicely designed space with a fridge and enough dishes to cook meals. Be sure to bring Nescafé coffee pods for the coffee machine. The website picture shows a cone filter coffee machine, but it is no longer there. We met the owners only briefly. They are a very friendly couple. Only one key was in the safe when we arrived, and it would have been nice to have two as our family splits up for different activities and you must insert the key into a slot upon entry to the apartment in order to turn the lights on. Schafberg cog rail is a short walk beyond town. We bought the combo ticket which includes the Schafbergbahn and unlimited boat rides for one day. You can fit in the mountain and a complete lake ride in a day—just. Like St. Wolfgang, St. Gilgen is a beautiful and easily walkable town. Check out the Schnapps und Schuhe store while there. They have dozens of in-house flavors, The flat is only about 45 minutes drive to the Dachstein Krippenstein mountain tram and Hallstatt. The Gosausee )also ca. 40 min with view of the Dachstein glaciers) is cheaper and even more impressive with a highly recommended trip up one of the Dachstein West lifts (one right at Gosausee) where there are beautiful Alm areas, food, and amazing lake and alpine/ glacier views."
