The best time to go to Som, Somogy County, Hungary is typically during the late spring (May to June) and early autumn (September to October) months.

These periods offer pleasant weather, with comfortable temperatures that are ideal for exploring the region's natural beauty and attractions without the intense heat of summer. You'll find the countryside lush and green in spring, and adorned with beautiful colours in autumn, making it superb for outdoor activities like hiking, cycling, or exploring the shores of Lake Balaton.

Families often find the shoulder seasons particularly appealing. The weather is mild enough for children to enjoy outdoor adventures, and popular spots around Lake Balaton are less crowded than during the peak summer months. This allows for a more relaxed experience at attractions and easier access to family-friendly activities.
