Good spa hotel with a great breakfast
Nice hotel with good sized pool and great breakfast included. There were no tea/coffee facilities in the room but the helpful receptionist fixed this for us (appeared to be the staff kettle!).

Was very nice beds were comfortable and clean. There is a bar and club in the hotel so was worried about loud noises but wasn’t an issue at all.

Fire alarm on a Saturday night
We arrived very tired after a long drive and were asleep in comfortable beds before midnight. However, the fire alarm went off at about 00:10 hrs, and we struggled into clothes and were ready to leave our room within minutes. There was no sign of a fire, and we tried to call reception but got no reply. Happily, a member of the hotel staff ran up the corridor to tell guests there was no fire, but quite frankly this was an incident that caused some stress and distress.

We MUST take fire alarms seriously - anything else would of course be critical. Luckily this was a false alarm. The reception line was busy, due to reception being in contact with the fire department. We apologize for this incident, but must prioritize the safety of our guests. Welcome back to a safe and calm stay next time!

Check in was easy because Expedia messed up my other reservation and booked me here (1.5 hrs away from my original hotel reservation). Rooms are large but dated - needs touch up paint. Breakfast is excellent and there is a spa and pool onsite. Good for one night to explore the region.

Much nicer interior than exterior
The outside of the hotel looks like an old college dorm but the inside is totally different and newly renovated. Our room was comfortable, new, and spacious and the breakfast was awesome.

Average hotel in unattractive town
We chose Forde to break our drive from Alesund to Bergen. The town seems quite industrial and was the least attractive place we saw in Norway. This hotel seems to be about the only sizeable one (the only one?) in Forde. There are really no restaurants in town to speak of either. As the drive from Alesund was far easier than I expected and already broken by ferry trips, I'd wished I'd continued all the way to Bergen in one day.

Never take dinner in this hotel. "Buffet" of dried up, tough pork cutlets, or rubbery chicken with minimal accompaniments. The hotel seems geared to tour bus groups who presumably put up with this. Breakfast OK in standard European style. Rooms OK.

PLEASANT STAY IN FORDE
We stayed one night at this hotel to break the journey from Alesund to Bergen. While the neighbourhood offered little of interest, our room was clean, comfortable and attractive, and the staff members were very friendly and helpful.

Average to good hotel, it's the only proper hotel in forde really, the breakfast is very nice and the room is a normal 3 star type room.

Here on Holiday. The property is well located within the town. Food & service were very good. This is not a resort by U.S. standards but still very nice. I would return.
