Mountain Retreat w/outdoor activities including rock climbing and hiking,

  • Get away from the city and come to the mountains to rest, unwind, regroup with friends and family. This new home near Chattanooga, TN accommodates 10 guests of all ages, with a ramp entrance and a curb less shower on main floor for any handicap guest. The game room in the basement area includes air hockey, foosball table, elliptical machine, large TV for movie night, board games, and a card table. This 3-level home has an open concept for family and friends, full kitchen with new amenities, and a grill on a wraparound deck that overlooks 3 acres of outdoor space including campfire pit, camp site, picnic area, soccer, horseshoes, baseball, volleyball & cornhole games as you step outside the lower living space. This cabin is pet friendly with crate, pet beds and portable electric fence if needed. We are located on Mowbray Mountain, Soddy Daisy TN - only 28 miles north of Chattanooga, Tn.     Why this Cabin? : We all know there's a big difference between being NEAR the beach or ski hill and being ON the beach or ski hill. This new cabin is ON the Cumberland Trail with a lifetime of outdoor adventure walkable from the back door and is where you want to be for outdoor activity. From the adjacent Deep Creek trailhead, you can explore the Deep Creek and Big Soddy rock climbing areas and the continuous 30-mile section of the beautiful Three Gorges section of the Cumberland Trail offering hiking, swimming, fishing, and trail running. Additional outings include nearby hand gliding, bouldering at the Cumberland Boulders and Stone Fort located within 2 miles of the cabin and all of the family friendly activities offered in nearby Chattanooga located only 25 minutes from cabin.

Our family had a wonderful spring gathering at the mountain retreat for my husband's 70th birthday! There were things to do for ALL ages. Everyone had a great time. Teresa has obviously put some thought and effort into providing whatever you might need. My only regret is that we didn't have more time to spend there to check out the area more.

Well stocked home with everything you could imagine available. The playroom was a huge hit with my daughter and nephew, and the property had plenty to keep us entertained for a low key Christmas with family. Theresa is an amazing host, very responsive and helpful. The trip was great and everyone agreed the house was a beautiful place to stay!

We had such a great time at this place. Theresa was an amazing host and was very easy to communicate with. The place was plenty spacious and the amenities were perfect for a bigger group! We will definitely be back.

Perfect setting for our stay near Chattanooga. House was beautiful and our family of eight was very comfortable. When we are in the area we will definitely stay there again. The host was very helpful with all of our needs.

Great Family Trip!

We had a great time in Theresa’s home. The trip exceeded expectations and was relaxing and great for families. The home is extremely organized and had everything you would need! Proximity to Chattanooga was perfect. We hope to return for another trip!

Spacious, cozy retreat spot

We enjoyed the space this property provides along with its private setting outside of the main city. The host was very flexible with check in and out times and it would’ve been very easy to spend even more time here. Beds were also very comfortable. All around a wonderful experience!

Beautiful Home

Our two families thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely house. The house is beautiful inside with plenty of natural light and space for all ages! Over our long weekend the children didn’t want to leave the house because it had so many activities for them right there. Would definitely stay again!

This was the perfect place for a relaxing vacation. Mgmt was great and very communicative. They really had everything we needed and the house was clean and organized. Perfect place for families that have someone with mobility issues. 25 minute ride to Chattanooga was super easy. We cannot recommend this place enough.

This is our top VRBO. The host was amazing from her welcome note, to the thoughtful amenities, and beautiful home. Everyone was outside playing horseshoes, swinging in the tree swing, playing Frisbee golf, walking the nearby trails. There was so much to do outside. The inside was clean and was the best stocked kitchen in any place we have stayed in staying in VRBO for over 10 years. The table sat 10 people, and we played family games for hours. My grandsons were so excited to have a campfire. The host had even set up the fire pit ready to go. Everyone agreed we need to stay here again.Thanks, Theresa for making our stay so wonderful!

The house is spacious and family friendly. Downstairs play area is great for kids. Open floor plan on the main floor is great for family gatherings. Very close to hiking trails.Theresa communicated throughout the process and helped every step of the way.

Multiple generation vacation

Lots of space for a large group and has lots of stuff you need for toddlers and little kids. Less stuff we had to bring with us like high chairs, pack n play, toys. Big yard with outdoor toys and activities and space to run around.Creeks, lake and trails all close by and we had a blast.The host was great. Open communication for anything we needed or questions we had.Great experience and we plan to book again in the future

This is an excellent property! It is up in the mountains, it is a peaceful and quiet setting. I enjoyed listening to the wind chimes and drinking my coffee from the deck in the morning. This house had everything you would need and more for a family with small children, older children and pets. Theresa thought of everything. She checked on us a couple times and the check-in and check-out process was easy. The hot tub was clean and hot when we arrived. There were all kinds of activities inside and outside to keep entertained, including foosball, air hockey, a toy room for younger kids, cornhole, horse shoes, and volleyball outside to name a few. The property was as described. The kitchen also was very well stocked with everything you would need to prepare meals. Linens and towels were provided. The beds were comfortable. There is a Walmart about 15 minutes away and about 25 minutes to Chattanooga. We enjoyed our trip and I would love to come back again sometime.

Wonderful Christmas Visit

Our whole family enjoyed their Christmas visit in Soddy-Daisy. The home was beautifully decorated! There was room for everyone to enjoy games, conversations, cooking, movies indoors. The entrance to the Cumberland trail was adjacent to the property. Hiking was fun and challenging! The yard was spacious for more outdoor activities. We would highly recommend this vacation property!

Quiet Mountain Oaisis

We did a short stay with my family of four and my brother and nephew….there was more than ample space for us all to spread out. We loved the secluded private neighborhood, the hot tub was nice after a few mile hike on the Cumberland trail (conveniently located across the street). The fire pit was relaxing too and it was nice that Theresa had plenty of chopped firewood available. There was cornhole, horseshoes, and other games for us to kill time while we decided what to do in town or hiking. Theresa was also very helpful and available for any questions. A great quiet mountain oasis….would stay again for sure!!

Beautiful and Cozy Getaway

If your looking for a spot that is away from the hustle and Bustle this is the spot! This home is nestled in Beautiful gated location away from city. The home is well with every kitchen bakeware and pots and pans, Great for my sisters and I because we love to cook. This place was great for morning and evening walks. The kids had a great time playing in the huge yard as well. Avery was a great help in questions and assistance, her response times were within seconds and minutes. We will definitely be back one day!! We give the home and location a 10+

Quick Getaway and Birthday Celebration

Our stay was wonderful! The house was perfect and had everything we could have ever needed for our short time. GPS was right on getting us there - but in the dark, it could be difficult ( 4 star rating). Very private and beautiful setting. Clean!! Our grandchildren enjoyed the game room and the out door setting. Theresa was quick to respond and very helpful. (might be a good idea to put away all personal items left in the bathroom (ie toothbrushes and such left out??). Overall, an ideal place to stay for many people ( we only had 6). THANKS so much! Highly recommend this property!!
