With water on almost every side, you'll have amazing views all day and night long. Drive towards your home away from home to a large, well-lit driveway and deck that wraps around the entire home. Walk into spacious rooms with tons of natural lighting, topped off with airy and light décor. The chef in your group will love whipping up all your favorite meals and snacks in the well-equipped kitchen with all stainless steel appliances. There's plenty of seating both inside and out for those days you want to spark up the grill and dine al fresco.

Gather around the large, inviting sofa for games and conversation, or to watch your favorite movie or sports team on the smart TV. A world-class experience awaits outside where you can dip in the private pool with amazing views of the bay. For those sun-lovers, there's even a higher sundeck accessible from the second floor. Beautiful

Absolutely beautiful! The house is perfectly cleaned, decorated, and designed. Our group of 14 stayed for a staff retreat and we enjoyed every aspect of the house. Plenty of private space and large gathering space. It is definitely a private oasis and you don’t need to leave the house, but if you do, local shopping is close by and Surf City is a short drive away.

New Year’s Celebrations

WOW what a beautiful property!!! It was clean and very well maintained and we all enjoyed the the stay so much that we plan to return to this beautiful place soon again. Only one issue was that the gas was empty for the fire pits so we missed using it for one night and they replaced it the next day so we’re able to use it next night. Highly recommend this property…just amazing!!!

Definitely a top tier vacation home! We were delighted with the location, home, appliances, outdoor seating, parking for up to 10 vehicles. We celebrated by mom's 81st birthday with a surprise get away to Sneads Island! The beds and pillows sent you into dreamland each and every night, so comfortable and plush. The scenery, oh the scenery from any room in the house was sound view/water view or just serene view. Residing on your own personal island, no homes on either side. It was peaceful and relaxing, thus far the best VRBO rental yet.

Sneed’s Island an Escape

I fell in love with this home from the pictures. The reality is unexplainable, it’s a feeling. The view from every window is simply beautiful. From Sunrise to Sunset you can enjoy yourself sitting outside and soaking up the sunshine while watching the birds, dolphins and fish go by along with watercraft of all sizes. The living space is great for the whole family. A great place to escape to for the privacy alone. No house next door just the water and wildlife. Relax and enjoy.

Great property with awful property management

Property was excellent but I'll never rent another property managed by Vacasa again. Pros: House layout and location are great. Beautiful almost 360 degree views of Alligator Bay. Around 15 min drive to beach is not great but tolerable. We utilized the free beach parking at lot #4 everyday. Cons: The freezer door and trays were broken at check-in and could tell it wasn't recent but nothing done by property mgmt. 3rd floor A/C was turned off at check in and took until following day to cool off. Two coffee makers both had broken carafes. Vacasa property management uses a central/national primary contact office that is generally useless and slows resolution process. It took multiple times to request resolution/reimbursement for purchasing a new coffee maker and they have still never reimbursed. We requested repair of freezer and it took 4 days to have someone come out and they didn't resolve the issue. There is only a single standard refrigerator/freezer in kitchen, which is inadequate to accommodate food/drink storage requirements of a home listed for 16-20 people.

Great location!! Beautiful views and home. Perfect for hosting a women’s retreat. Kitchen is lacking some supplies but we managed. Fridge has a missing shelf so that was a challenge. No added “niceties” like firewood for the solo stove and even the soap/shampoo was nearly empty. Gorgeous home though!

The views were fantastic but as I mentioned above the mold in the house should be addressed. The washing machine was so covered in mold that when you opened the door the smell was awful! The furniture was covered in stains! It was a great house if the moldy issues are resolved and it is properly kept clean!

What a great house and location

We loved the house. There were 10 adults and 8 children all under nine yrs old. The kids loved the heated pool. The adults loved having the security of being on an island. The water around the house is very shadow which was great for the little ones. There is only one refrigerator in the house but we knew that in advance so we brought a couple coolers. The beach is easily drivable but to be honest the small kids enjoyed the pool more than the rough waves of the ocean. We rented jet skis and they brought them right to the house, you can sit in the pool chairs and watch the kids play on them. Beautiful home, well taken care of. They provided plenty of linen. Kitchen was well equipped and internet worked great. We would absolutely return to this beautiful house.

On arrival on Saturday contacted Vacasa about freezer not opening and two bathrooms having burnt out lightbulbs stated they would send someone out never did and no phone calls at all regarding issues. Finally on late Tuesday I received a call back asking if WE had resolved the issue! Back bathroom toilet was clogged up. (Which was resolved) Some beds did not have pillow cases. The washer had black mold in it and had a horrible stench when you opened it and was unusable! Pool skimmer had the net torn out so was of no use. Had to have the pool cleaned and the water was very cloudy which he shocked and they brought a new skimmer. The refrigerator and freezer for this big of a house and people was no where big enough when a secondary refrigerator could have easily been put in the garage. The stove is an induction that only allows certain pans to be used and the ones that are there are horrible and everything that is cooked sticks. The rug in the living is a tripping hazard for toddlers and was dirty and the rug by the other sofa was filthy. The white sofa upon arrival was filthy and had stains everywhere, took pictures and called and sent photos to Vacasa. It was a nice house and would have been great if maintenance issues were resolved and it was properly cleaned. Mandatory life saving ring was very old and had broken foam and hanging fabric of no use. Also shower curtains in 2nd floor both have mold at the bottom of them and there there was mold on the door where the ac unit

Lovely house, not well equipped for a large group.

If you're looking for a large home with stunning views, the house is a great fit. The pictures matched what the home had to offer and from that point we were really pleased. We only had 8 people stay, and from that stand point, we were just able to get by with the supplies in the house. The kitchen has the bare minimum of pots/pans/appliances. There are no basics (spices, oil, garbage bags, aluminum foil, ziploc bags, etc.). We had to call to get propane for the grill, but then discovered the ignitor for the grill didn't work, and there weren't any lighters/matches in the house- or grill tools. On the cooler evenings we were looking forward to using the solo stove, but realized there wasn't wood so we had to hunt some down in town. We begged to get the pool heater turned on and were willing to pay for it, but despite multiple attempts no one could help us, so the beautiful pool remained unused. It was a few weeks before the season officially started, but I would have hoped they would work with us. Some of the furniture seemed to have been assembled recently and not very well. We wanted to tighten the legs of the dining table and chair so they wouldn't wobble or break, but couldn't find a tool box in the house. Bottom line - our group loved the house, but if it's not in the pictures, assume it's not there.
