Pastors' Wives Retreat

12 of us stayed very comfortably in this house. The weather was perfect, the jacuzzi was relaxing, and the house met all our needs!

My family of 12 stayed for the weekend. House has such a beautiful view! Furniture had a lot of dog hair and floors weren't clean. We did have a good time though!

The home on Island Drive in North Topsail Beach was an idyllic setting for our family of 15 to gather, relax, recreate, strengthen bonds and create a fabulous memory surrounding our 50th anniversary.

Great for Special Occasions!

We had a baby shower for our daughter and son-in-law and the main floor was great for the occasion. The kitchen, dining area, living area, bar and half bathroom allowed us to move about easily without guests needing to leave the main floor for anything. There were two sitting areas and plenty of dining spots available so that everyone had somewhere to socialize. The outdoor deck was off of the main floor and was beach accessible as well, which gave us extra space and a chance to get some fresh air. The views of the beach were wonderful from the main living area and master bedroom. The hot tub was a nice addition, since it was too cold to enjoy the beach.Property owner Jennifer was easily available when we needed assistance.

Great house for many people

Our volleyball team stayed here while we attended a tournament. The house was awesome! many great memories made this weekend! i definitely recommend this place for those looking for a nice place with plenty of room!

Stormy stay

Our extended family of ten truly enjoyed our stay in this fantastic location on the beach. We could sit on the deck and watch the young ones play in the sand and waves. And the waves were huge because of Hurricane Debby. The owner was very responsive to every text I sent, and is cooperating with me as I try to get a refund from Chase cc for one lost day due to the storm. I would go back.

Beautiful Home with Exquisite Views

We enjoyed our time at this house so much. The views of the ocean were amazing. The house is beautifully decorated and clean. Any questions were answered promptly by the owner with friendliness and care. We would definitely recommend staying at this home.

Stunning views, amazing spaces, lovely home away from home

Booked to host family for retirement oarty / engagement dinner. Both event went off without a hitch, the views in the mornings were stunning, the beach access was on point, and parking was surprisingly ample. Plus the hosts were amazing! Super responsive at every turn. 10/10 would definitely recommend!

Beautiful deck, house, beach & even a rainbow! Got awesome weather & waves. Only compliant about sheets not all there. Trash disposal a little difficult. Bunks a little hard for our big teens, but All had a fabulous time! Thanks for 2 fridges & great social areas & great deck! Parking great. Thank you!

It was right on the ocean. The house was great. Had everything we needed and more. Close to other things we wanted to visit. Easy to get to. We would highly recommend this house. Close to others but not too close. It was perfect!!

Wedded bliss

We loved this house . We chose this as our wedding venue so our kids and parents could all be with us as we got married just before sunset in the sand. We enjoyed an evening dinner on the back deck. The entire weekend was fabulous and we could not have had a more perfect home to start our newly merged family in. Plenty of space. Great amenities. And that master bath!!! ❤️

Beautiful location!

My fiancé and I just spent a wonderful weekend with close family and friends who were in town for our wedding. We loved this location and couldn’t have asked for better! Everything was clean, organized and the property was perfect for accommodating the needs of our group. Communication between myself and the property owners throughout the wedding planning process was quick and easy. We look forward to visiting this location again soon! 5 stars!!

Reunion on the beach

Everything about this stay was excellent. Communication and and understanding of the owners was very good and timely. The location was perfect - walked out the back door and we were basically on the beach. The online pictures of the house were very close to actual with the view being fantastic and it was just right for our four families with 5 young grandkids. It was hard for all of us to leave. Would highly recommend it.

Beach weekend

Jennifer was fabulous to communicate with and very responsive. Location of the property was perfect and it was great being right on the beach. While the house is well stocked, it felt like we were missing a couple of important things like a rag or sponge for dishes or cleaning the kitchen. However, it suited our needs and worked out great for three families all with young children.

Made memories!

Staying right on the beach was absolutely beautiful. It was our first Entire Fam Vaca! We made meals and ate together and just hung out. There were things advertised that were not working (outside shower and hose to rinse sand off, closet doors and bathroom light in basement) and areas that neded a good cleaning (especially the basement where my kids and grandkids stayed). We overlooked the neglect and completely enjoyed each others company!

Great place!

We loved everything about this house— great location and close to the ocean. The bedrooms are upstairs and downstairs with the common areas on the main floor. This was perfect for our family— the adults with no kids were upstairs and the adults with kids were downstairs. We only had 9 in our party, but the multiple beds in each bedroom would have accommodated many more. The kitchen is well- stocked and all the windows in the house provided amazing views. Hunting sharks’ teeth on the beach was fun— we found several. Our grandchildren had never done that before. The hosts were very responsive when we had questions and we will definitely consider this home in the future.

North Topsail Family Vacation

My family had a great time at this wonderful home. It was perfect for our multi-generation vacation. There was plenty of space to hang-out, to be together or separate if needed. The kitchen was well stocked with various dishes. There is a safety gate on the main floor to help corral little ones as well as a gate on the deck. Having immediate beach access was a plus. We could set up for the day right in front of the deck. The beach is very clean and not crowded. We enjoyed playing in the ocean, long walks on the beach, and collecting seashells as well as using the community pool which was a bit of a walk down the beach. We were in easy driving distance to do the touristy stuff. We did have some “hiccups”: the hot tub was out of service due to a leak and was not able to be fixed during our visit. This was a disappointment since this was something that attracted us to choose this house. The previous visitors used linens were still in the home and we initially had some confusion about which was ours and which to use. We figured it out. The home was clean though we had dead cockroaches on the lower level. We assume that insects are common in the south and on/near the beach. Even though we weren’t informed an exterminator did come by and sprayed the lower level. No one showed up to take care of the trash as expected. Beach chairs are listed as included. Only one there. Bring your own. We created wonderful memories and we would use this property again.

Disappointing Rental

Pros: -nice location -ample off-street parking -good beach access -nice deck overlooking the dunes and beach -great common area layout on main floor: multiple places to sit, drink and eat and visit, watch tv -lots of windows and light -house looks nice on the outside -nice master suite on top level Cons: -poorly maintained property overall apparently from years of neglect? -multiple cockroaches on upper and lower levels of house (owner notified and told us they were “palmetto bugs”) -dirty on arrival, owner notified, it was cleaned before our arrival but not adequately. Owner offered to have re-cleaned but this is inconvenient once settled, should have been done correctly in first place. -previous renters smoked on the top floor(owner notified) -multiple light bulbs throughout the property burned out -gas smell on first level led us to find a gasoline can without a lid on it inside the property -strange layout with two kids rooms on the top level -bottom floor rooms share a very tiny, single vanity bathroom -the dishwasher broke on the second day, replaced the following day -knob on range broken with no way to turn off range -no explanation of household procedures with respect to trash days, etc - weather stripping on the balcony door on the master suite completely missing, air and water easily leak into room -the hot tub appears to stay “on” at all times, no way to control it as the digital display malfunctions; it appeared to be set on max temperature -no written record that the hot tub had been properly treated with chemicals (I think this is a health dept requirement?) -propane tank on gas grill left with valve open in garage, owner notified -no clear instructions on how to access WiFi, everyone’s devices warned that it was an “unsecured network” and, therefore, could not connect. Alternate connection was available but owner did not inform us of this, discovered by default. -pool was 1/3 of a mile away and very small, not walkable with small children. Overall the negatives far outweigh the positives. Property has potential but very pricey for what you get, or don’t get…
