"We enjoyed our stay! A little disappointed we weren't able to use the free wine tasting voucher (only stayed one night and the tasting room was closing when we checked in), but not a huge deal. The hotel was beautifully decorated and complimentary breakfast was tasty. Some of the room features could use some TLC. Our door handle was loose, would have liked more pillows, and lighting in the bathroom was awkwardly placed (at eye level right next to the toilet). Going at an off-peak time was nice - we could hear others in the hallway, but it wasn't a major issue since the other guests were quiet and respectful. Overall, this was a great retreat and we would return!"

"If I could give a no Stars, I will. fisrt of all. Please stay away from this hotel. On the day of the arrival the front desk person that checked me and family in, was not careful with my personal information, he left the copy of the DL on top of the desk and the same time he was assisting another guest that she was having problems with the payment. No regards on keeping private information PRIVATE. We got to the room the door lock from inside did not lock, the next morning we told the other front desk about the lock and he said he will let maintanance person to see about it; which it never did. the room was clean. I took my shose off and the floors felt dusty and dirty, I also mentioned that the same morning to the front desk person and he said that if I wanted someone to clean the room I will have to pay, housekeeper goes to the room every 15 days but he was going to tell them to the room to do a light cleaning, if you go to a hotel you spect that the place is clean, also the hallways smell like weed and also the recpection area. 2 days later the A/C broke down we found out very late in the evening because we were out the whole day. They adivse us that there was nothing to do at night that we either we move to another room in the first floor (and we were in the 4th floor) or they can give us a fan. we chose the fan for the night, I have a 7 month baby I just can not get up and go. the next day the technicial went to the room and he said that we needed to move to another roo"

"While this property shows promise, there are several significant concerns that warrant serious attention.Most critically, during our stay we experienced a safety incident in which a barn door in the bathroom became dislodged while being opened. The door nearly struck my children, and was only prevented from causing injury because I was able to catch it in time. This type of structural hazard is unacceptable & requires immediate remediation, not a temporary fix. The bathrooms & rooms overall are in need of proper, thorough renovation (stains on wall + sink). When I brought this safety concern to the attention of the Front Office Manager, Attonayo Branch, I found his response to be dismissive & unprofessional. Rather than acknowledging the severity of the incident, he stated he was unaware of the issue and indicated he was preoccupied with billing & the volume of check-ins. This level of response is inadequate when a guest’s safety, particularly that of children, has been compromised. I want to note that the maintenance team & front desk staff handled the situation with genuine empathy & professionalism, which I appreciated. While the marina views and proximity to Hampton University are appealing, they don’t offset safety hazards, deferred maintenance, or deficiencies in management-level leadership. I strongly encourage ownership & senior management to review both the physical condition of the rooms & the guest-relations standards expected of managerial staff. "
