Very convenient location, a bit dated but, super cozy. Perfect for a 1 or 2 night 🌙 stay. The locals are very cool. The A/C worked like a freezer, lol. Great hot water 💧. Very quiet at night. I would stay here again. Lots of trails 👣

Plenty of parking. Check in was easy. Staff checking us in was really nice!! Room could have been a little cleaner but wasn’t too bad. Air conditioning worked great. Very close to restaurants and fun stuff to do. All in all a great experience.

Room had the basics: clean room and sheets, adequate towels, hairdryer, offered shampoo but not conditioner, minifridge with good small freezer component, wifi/TV worked well. No staff onsite but did not need them (staff at realty comapany at local store). Basics, clean, heat/AC work well without being noisy. Area= small settlement in mountains but has good BBQ restaurant. Would return again but bring food for lunch breakfast.

The shower was excellent with amazing water pressure. We enjoyed the log cabin look of the facility. We liked that it had a porch with lots of seating available. The room itself was on the smaller side but clean. Small fridge without a freezer and a microwave were available.

The room was clean and it did look like the room was in a log cabin. The ceiling was awesome. Lots of hot water and the fridge wirked great. The beds, well, they were not comfortable to sleep in. Due to how hard the bed was we did not get a good sleep. And the microwave was on top of fridge but not due the plug would not reach the outlet. The only place to put it was on the floor so could use it.

I really enjoyed my stay at Black Bear Lodge in Slade, Kentucky. The location was perfect—it's centrally located and made it easy to explore Red River Gorge, Natural Bridge State Resort Park, and the surrounding attractions. The room was simple but comfortable. I especially appreciated that they didn't skimp on the blankets, which made for a cozy night's sleep after a day of hiking. The only downside was that my room didn't have an iron or ironing board, so keep that in mind if you need one. Overall, if you're looking for a clean, affordable, and conveniently located place to stay while exploring the area, I'd happily stay at Black Bear Lodge again.

Cute property with very friendly and helpful staff. The room was on the small side, but we knew that going in. The only minor drawback was that it could use a bit more lighting. Overall, though, that’s a very small complaint in an otherwise pleasant stay.

Room was clean. Nice log cabin style motel! WiFi worked great as there’s no service in the area. Situated across the street from a really good BBQ joint. A/C worked really good and plenty of hot water.

The room was clean and ready for us when we arrived. The only issue we had was that the electric went out on us the morning we left. Other than that, check in was great and the place was cute and perfect for a one night getaway.

We have stayed here before. It is affordable, the staff is great (I accidently reserved the wrong dates and they were able to fix it and accommodate me on the dates I needed) The area was quiet on this trip as it was out of season.

Great location in the Red River Gorge/Natural Bridge/Daniel Boone National Forest area. The office is in the coffee shop up the street and the lady that checked us in was super nice. The room itself was basic, but that's all we needed.

Parking and access was easy. Check was a block away from the property. The staff who helped check us in was super helpful and suggested some good trails too. WiFi password details weren’t in the room so had to ask another resident. The sink was clogged so asked to fix that when I che led out the next day. Overall the place was quiet and room was clean and cool.

Pros: In a great location to all the things we wanted to do. Room was cute and the air conditioner wirked well. Cons: The shower head stunk and the tub held water and did not drain well. The wi fi on day one made it impossible to watch tv because to many people was on it but by day 2 no one was there and we has no problems with it. No house keeping so once i made coffee the 1st morning i had nothing left for the 2nd. Over all it was not to bad and fprnthe price we paid i was satisfied.
