"This property met our needs for our trip. We did not spend much time in the home, mostly just for sleeping and breakfast. We had adequate space for our large group. The property is in reasonable shape for its age and use. More attention could be made on the part of the cleaning crew to clean some details (corners, decorations), but overall the home was clean. The kitchen accessories weren’t completely useable - the coffee pots both ran very slowly, and the pans weren’t as clean as they should be. When these issues were pointed out to the host, she responded positively, so hopefully, changes have been made. The general location of the property is pleasant and generally quiet. We enjoyed our brief stay."

It was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had outstanding amenities. The hot tub and fire pit were perfect for relaxing after a day of activities, and the huge bunk room was a hit with our family. During a severe thunderstorm one night, everyone ended up sleeping together in the bunk room, and it became one of our favorite memories of the trip.The kitchen was well stocked, making it easy to prepare meals. We also loved the screened-in back porch, which was perfect for relaxing in the evenings without the bugs. We used the grill several times, and having an attached garage was a great bonus.The location was fantastic. Every day we walked the five minutes to the top of Boyne Mountain to enjoy the SkyBridge, and we made several trips to Deer Lake. I can only imagine how incredible this house is during ski season as a true ski-in, ski-out property.Our only complaint was the Nest thermostat. We happened to visit during one of the hottest weeks of the summer, and the thermostat kept reverting to Eco mode. We’d lower the temperature, only to have it reset a couple of hours later. Since there isn’t a separate HVAC zone for the upstairs, it took hours to cool those bedrooms, and several guests woke up sweating the first two nights.To their credit, Northern Michigan Vacations was outstanding. I texted them several times with questions, and they always responded within minutes. They contacted the owner, who made adjustments that helped, but the thermostat still changed temperatures on its own, especially overnight.My one recommendation is to replace the Nest thermostat with a standard programmable thermostat that guests can control. Aside from that, this home was outstanding. We had a wonderful family vacation, would definitely recommend it to others, and would gladly stay here again if that issue is resolved."
