"My husband and i had an amazing 2 weeks at Sunny Villas. The staff are wonderful the views from our balcony are breathtaking and breakfast every morning brought to our balcony was delicious. The only small downfall, and only because we are seniors and my husband has an artificial hip, is the stairs. Otherwise would highly recommend this great hotel."

"I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. From day one they were so welcoming and helpful. They offered wonderful breakfast every morning, with a great array of options and also made me a to-go breakfast early in the morning before I headed off on an excursion. If you like being active, it’s a great walking distance (30/40min) to Fira, the hub of the city, and just off the hiking path to Oia. Beautiful terrace and nearby restaurants if you prefer to stay close and just enjoy the view. Thank you so much Sophia Luxury Suites for making this a lovely first trip to Santorini!"

"This review is actually for Katikies Santorini in Oia where we were switched to by the Katikies group because of some unfinished renovations at the Chromata hotel. Because of the change our room was upgraded to Superior accommodation free of charge! Our stay was between May 3-10 to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary and all I can say is that the experience was amazing! The hotel was immaculate. We had our own private terrace with easy chairs and umbrella. Our room and the hotel itself was very clean and the staff totally attentive to our needs. The views from our room were breathtaking and we ate the varied and delicious 5-star quality breakfast on the terrace overlooking the sea and islands. The hotel added so many nice touches to our stay. On arrival we found a bottle of wine and treats in our room. It was Greek Orthodox Easter so we also received an Easter basket with goodies. The hotel is situated at the start of the pedestrian-only road where the shops and excellent restaurants are located so everything was within walking distance. Despite being in the town center the hotel was very quiet (there were many tourists and cruise ship visitors but apparently not as many as in the peak summer season). During our stay we visited Fira (a 20 min, 4 EUR return trip) which has a great museum; took a sunset boat trip around the island and made the must-do 10 km hike along the coast between Oia and Fira. The sunsets were spectacular. Our best vacation experience!"

"I did not like that they did not have a pool. What they had was a very small pool the size of a small jacuzzi "

"This hotel was perfect ! The room I booked was the city view. And man it was gorgeous. It looked cave like. When we opened our door it was access to the pool , felt like it was our personal one. The rooms are super clean , workers are extremely nice. Breakfast is great. 8am -11am which I think is very accommodating for sleepers lol. If you have a later flight they will hold your luggage for you and you can still roam around. This hotel is a 20 min walk to all the restaurants, clubs shopping areas , etc."

"Akra was a great location! Easy to get to from where the taxi drops you off. There's lots of steps in Santorini so I was prepared for the worst carrying the luggage but it was easy. Breakfast was very good. A mix of everything, great coffee. The gentleman helping with breakfast were so kind and helpful. Reception staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms are very nice. We booked a deluxe suite because we wanted the plunge pool and view. The plunge pool was cold, we only used once. And the pool was right at our doorsteps with a lounge chair and table. We used the pool when it was hot out. The only downside is the public walkway outside, non guests would stop to enter to take pictures. I understand the view with the pool is killer, but some people are just ignorant. This is not the staff or hotels fault. I would highly recommend staying at Akra. I did a lot of research and honestly could not make up my mind and then settled on this hotel with no regrets. Walk down the street and Rent an ATV to drive around and explore the island. You can drive easily to Oia day or night. So much cheaper than a taxi. You need good runners for Santorini. So much walking and steps, but good exercise and we were good with that. "

"Loved the hospitality here and most of all the location. Perfect distance from Fira and was so much calmer than the other cities. Way better experiences than in Oia. Best views of all three cities in my opinion. Access to plenty of amazing restaurants and a few grocery stores (Ilios Bakery was our go to). Fira was better for clothes/souvenir shopping but is not far like I said. The hotel was always Beyond helpful with whatever you need especially transfers at the santorini sailing center. Such a peaceful place to stay and overall experience. Lots of stairs but that’s the whole island lol so what’s a couple more? Haha. Thank you for the experience and kindness. "
