"We were here last year in august with our granddaughters and this time with our pups. The cottage is perfect for us … fenced in front yard for the pups and a beautiful backyard for us. Unfortunately both times we were here there was a ton of algae so we were not able to let the dogs go in. I think the only negative is that it’s not ours!!!!😀"

"This is a perfect cabin with everything we needed, except a cool lake breeze during our late August 3 night stay. Happened to be sweltering so comfortable sleep was hard to come by even with the very thoughtful fan or 3 in every room. Can’t wait to go back a different time of year to experience the lake during different seasons. "It was a very comfortable house for us and our dog, and conveniently located to hiking areas and wineries. We suggest that you bring your own drinking water or take advantage of the counter top water filter they provided. If the neighbors to the right of the property are permanent residents, you will not be able to enjoy a quiet evening outside as their dogs barked constantly. Hopefully, this was a one-off. "The house which is on the small size makes, up for this in its location! On the shore of Kangaroo Lake, which is about 50 feet from the front door, the setting is serene and peaceful. About 5 minutes from Bailey's Harbor, it truly is beautiful! A great location to launch exploring of Door County. Martina is a wonderful host who made sure our stay was welcoming and our every need met! We are already planning our next stay here! "
