Our stay at this beautiful villa was wonderful. It has a lovely view of the golf course, and we loved the open air concept. We did have to drive everywhere so a car is a must-have. The Blue Bay beach is a five minute drive, and a nice small beach that gets a bit crowded but not too bad. I would suggest bringing your own beach towels , as the ones provided are small and only 1 per person. There is a washer in the unit but no dryer, therefore the towels took a while to dry. It would be nice to have more towels available in general. A small inconvenience as everything else was great. The hosts were very helpful and available for any questions we had during our stay. Overall, the villa was clean, comfortable and well located for access to entire Island. Its proximity to Willemstad allowed us to take a taxi into town for dinner, which was wonderful as well.

Blue Bay Curacao

Loved our accommodations. Clean, convenient to beaches and restaurants. Property management very responsive. Blue bay fun party atmosphere. Only feedback is Would like towels refreshed after 3 days and you cannot walk to beach but only 5 minute drive to BB beach. I would highly recommend this villa

Wonderful

We are so happy that we chose this property to stay at during our visit to the island! The villa was very clean, and only a 2 minute walk to the pool. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals. There was even coffee pods and cold waters waiting for us on arrival which was much appreciated after a long day of traveling.

A Great Vacation

We enjoyed our stay! Our local hosts were there to meet us & answered all our questions during our stay via text immediately. The cottage was very clean with helpful extras in the bath & kitchen. The pool was close by, quiet & relaxing. Blue Bay beach with three restaurants was beautiful, but a little further than we anticipated. We drove to the beach most days. We would stay here again.

Slice of paradise

The property is situated in a quiet, scenic, gated golf resort. It was very clean, well appointed and conveniently located. There was a nearby supermarket as well as a fanatic pizza take out (Il Forno). You could just as easily drive to the beaches located on the northern part of Caracao, drive to Mambo Beach for sushi or do souvenir shopping in Willemstad. Also, you have access to Blue Bay Beach where you can watch amazing sunsets or have dinner on the beach. We spent close to a month on the property. I recommend staying here.

Beautiful Location on a Beautiful Island

The villa was great. It made for a fantastic location for our beach hopping across the island. It was stocked well with everything we needed, and a comfortable place to rest after a long day at the beach. Just known that the living room did not have AC like the bedrooms. They could probably use 1 or 2 more fans for when the breeze is not blowing. This was not a problem, just something to consider if you plan on spending a lot of time there. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful place, beautiful views, with amazing Beach

This is a great location and the access to Blue Bay beach makes it awesome. We went to a lot of beaches but Blue Bay was possibly the best. Great restaurants, no loud music, great reef, easy swimming. I enjoyed the pool every morning. A couple of recommendations I would suggest to the owner. The main room does not have AC like the bedrooms do and gets super hot, especially in the mornings. You can close the shutters but then you get no air flow at all. There was one "super loud" fan. I would suggest getting several "good quality" quiet fans. Also it would help tremendously if there was some shade provided on the back porch. The neighbor had installed an awning to solve this issue. That would allow you to sit on the porch in comfort in the mornings and would also keep the sun out of the main room. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here.

Great little garden villa

We just returned from a week trip to Curacao and had the pleasure of staying in this cozy garden villa in Blue Bay. It is nicely situated along the 2nd fairway of the golf course and only a 1 minute walk to the communal pool. It has everything you need for an enjoyable stay, from appliances (washer/dryer and dishwasher) to a beach cooler and even basic necessities, i.e., toilet paper, paper towels, soap and even salt & pepper and a few other spices and cooking oils. A few things to know before you go: 1) there is a lot of construction going on right next door which is not only loud but prevents you from walking to the beach in 10 minutes - you must walk up and around or drive there; 2) contrary to the photos in the listing, there is no regular drip coffeemaker and the patio has a small side table and 4 chairs - no loungers or dining set. While these things are not mentioned to deter you from staying at the villa, they are things we wish we had known beforehand.

Amazing week on the island

It was our first time visiting Curaçao. My husband and I spent a week on the island. I cannot say enough about our local managers. They were simply amazing. Prior to our arrival, they checked in with us to make sure we had all travel documents ready. Then, they were waiting for us at the property, and gave us some great info about the island (stores, beaches, restaurants, markets…). The hosts always replied to our questions within minutes and were very helpful throughout our stay. The condo was great, we loved the open plan, condo feels very new and modern. Kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms had all the necessities. Blue Bay resort is great too, with nice restaurants, bars, coffee/ice cream shop. While we liked some other beaches better, Blue Bay beach is nice too, with plenty of shade and lounge chairs. We enjoyed snorkeling right off the beach as well. And it’s about 3 minutes drive from the condo. We enjoyed seeing flamingoes on the golf course almost every day. I also would like to mention that Blue Bay’s location is great as it’s about 12 minutes from Willemstad, Mambo beach, Lion’s Dive, and 30-45 minutes away from national parks and some other great beaches (Piskado, Lagun, playa Porto Marie, grote Knip, Grote Klein). Overall, very-well kept property with plenty of space for 2 couples or a family with 1-2 kids.

Pleasant villa in good location

We spent 6 days at this villa at the end of November. Viviane checked us in and out and was very friendly and efficient. The villa is located within Blue Bay resort which is great for access to the golf course, the beach and several restaurants. The kitchen is adequately stocked for eating in, and the villa is also close enough to Willemstad where there are several lovely restaurants. The open plan design of the villa is nice and makes up for the relatively small garden area. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Blue Bay.

A perfect week

Wonderful villa that has everything you need,. We rented a car from Helder of Platinum cars right at the airport . Great service and such nice people . Greeted by lovely Sanneke who was there to answer any questions we may had . Short walk to the beach, where we enjoyed lots of snorkeling and indulge on cocktails and bitterballen :-) Wonderful location, clean comfortable modern spacious villa, great people and just a wonderful island!

Nice location and vrbo

Overall a very nice place to stay. The location of blue bay was very convenient, close to the beach, the airport, town, and several grocery stores. The resort was very safe, clean, and well-maintained. The pool was beautiful we loved it!While we enjoyed our stay and were overall pleased with the VRBO given the range available on the island, the pictures and description were not completely accurate. The furniture was mostly plastic chairs and a couch (with a broken arm rest), the beds were not very comfortable and didn't have actual sheets. The cooking utensils were sparse (and plastic), there was only a small pairing knife and a bread knife for cooking, and minimal cleaning supplies (one garbage bag and two dish detergents for 8 days) were provided. Most of the shrubs in front of the patio had died (and had been removed) - reducing the feeling of privacy. But otherwise, the important components were present and functional - including a nice washing machine, cooler for the beach, and AC units in the bedrooms. We would recommend!

Bed Bugs

The unit itself is very nice but we were surprised that there were only shutters with no screens in the living area. After the first night my husband & I woke up with bug bites. I assumed it was mosquitoes his bites did not itch but mine did. By wednesday am the bites were worse. We left early bc of this. When i got home found out these are bed bug bites. The place needs fumigated mattress destroyed. I am miserable from the itching. If you want further comments contact us

Comfortable and spacious villa at Beautiful Blue Bay

Although not very close to the Blue Bay beach, the villa is in an excellent location with a swimming pool close by. We arrived in the evening and were met by the property manager, Vivianne who showed us around. The property is very comfortable with everything needed for an enjoyable holiday. The facilities at the Blue Bay beach are excellent with a great restaurant (Coast) and beach bar (Blend). A car is needed as it is a long walk to the beach, and the nearest Supermarket is about 2-3kms away. The benefit of a car enables you to visit the Island, other beaches and Willemsted as well. The property itself is light and airy and a welcome air conditioning in the bedrooms. The washer and drier were most welcome but would recommend the fridge to be looked at (leaked water on occasions). We would recommend a few additions such as external lighting on the patio, a little more kitchen equipment (e.g sharp knives) if you wish to cook. Overall - a great place to vacation!

Great location that met our needs

The location and the property certainly met our needs. Blue Bay was a great place to stay. The overall house was in good condition and the ability to open the whole living area to the outside was great. Overlooking the 2nd hole was nice, so was the daily visit from the cat. I thing the few issues that should be addressed were the bedroom pillows, they were as thin as a pancake. The kitchen could have used some help. Pots with loose handles, a non existent can opener, one dull steak knife and a mish mash of other assorted kitchen ware. It would have also been nice if the house provided a cooler for the guests to use. The furniture was very outdated and rather uncomfortable. All that being said I would stay there again. Location was perfect. The Blue Bay bar was very nice, the restaurant's food was good but it did take 2.5 hours from order to finishing our meal. The boat trip out of the dive shop was superior. This was our second time on Island, the first being 16 years ago. We did not feel much has changed, that why its such a beautiful Island.

First time in Curacao

Good location. We ended up traveling the whole island over 9 days, and this was a good place to be based. We played the golf course once and it was very nice. The Lemongrass restaurant at the clubhouse seems way underrated. We had one lunch there and one dinner. Both were very good. The fish at dinner was the best I had all week. The beach was excellent - very clean and lots of chairs and shade, and some decent snorkeling. The water was clean and clear. The actual property was clean and large enough, but was lacking in some amenities. Maybe we should not have expected these, but we have rented many properties through VRBO, and typically we would find things like this: There was only one set of towels per person, no paper towels at all, no extra toilet tissue, no facial tissue (Kleenex), only one garbage bag, and no plastic bags, or aluminum foil. The clothes washer worked, but we had to air dry everything because the clothes dryer did not work. On the patio, there was no table, and the umbrella was broken.

Great location, no essentials/amenities

If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Curaçao, Blue Bay is the place, but just not this house. They provide 6 towels, 4 mini hand soap bars and that is it. Literally not even napkins or dishwashing detergent or even salt and pepper to cook. Absolutely nothing is provided. I asked the property manager and she said it is “the guests responsibility”, so clearly this is a choice they are making to not even provide the bare minimum. We had to buy all of it just to cook a single meal so I’d reconsider if you’re only staying a few days but wanted to cook during your stay. We also wanted to wash our towels and there was no detergent provided so if we wanted to do a load we would’ve had to go to the store for this as well. Overall, not really convenient to stay here. You have to communicate with a different person outside of the VRBO app through WhatsApp so be prepared for that as well. I would definitely go back to Blue Bay and stay there and I have recommended several friends to do so as well, but definitely look for a different property.

A nightmare Accommodation but great Curacao

We booked this house judging from the picture at Fewo, represented a nice and welcoming house in May2023. Arriving on June 5th, the picture was the opposite. Summary: This house used to be a nice place, but it is clear, that it has not been properly maintained since years. Now some details: • The fridge was partly broken and full of Mold , so not to be used ; (refer to other reviewers). • In the house are loose cables, broken floor and Mold spots so not a safe house with small children. • Huge part of the jalousies could not be opened, “We are waiting for an offer to repair them” the landlord said first after arrival. • Dining Table was in bad shape. The housekeeper explained “the dirt is so deep that cannot be cleaned. • The dining chairs are plastic and not the ones presented. • The outside furniture is old and broken Dirty bed sheets and hairs in the sink on arrival only complete the picture. It is strange, that we had to send pictures as evidence before a new team came to clean. A Clean house should be cleaned at arrival!! We stayed one night as we arrived late but next day checked out. if anyone needs some pictures, happy to provide.

We hebben een heerlijke vakantie gehad. Helaas geen buitenverlichting op het terras. Tuinmeubilair was verouderd. Terras aan de kleine kant omdat begroeing vrij groot was. 1 airco was zwaar verouderd.

Schön gelegene Villa inmitten des Blue Bay Resorts. Ausstattung etwas in die Jahre gekommen (Couch durchgesessen, Toilettenspülung klemmt, Klimaanlage im zweiten Schlafzimmer läuft zu laut). Im Umfeld wird zur Zeit viel gebaut.

Wonderful vacation stay at Blue Bay

We love to stay at Blue Bay Report. The property is clean and spacious. The property manager, Vivienne was very friendly and helpful. Blue Bay beach is beautiful. The resort also has great Scuba Diving service with awesome staff. We had a rental car during our stay to get in the city and visit other beaches in Curacao. We recommend this property.
