Not many motels can offer a lock up facility for the car and trailer when we towed a vintage car for a rally. Was worried it could be noisy as on the main road but very quiet. Even the AC and fridge were quiet. Lovely bed and sheets. Fantastic fluffy towels. The place has been recently refurbished. We shall stay again. Thx Ray.

Very clean room, comfortable bed, mini bar is not exorbitantly priced and has sufficient for two people. Restaurant for dinner & breakfast again is very reasonably priced. Staff are very friendly & welcoming. Our overall stay was excellent & would definitely stay again.

We really could not fault either Paynesville or Captains Cover Resort both exceeded our expectations. The apartment is modern, well appointed and spotlessly clean. It is a short walk into Paynesville proper and the ferry to Raymond Island and our walk among the koalas. Bairnsdale Golf Course was a short distance from the resort and a pleasure to play.

The location was excellent- walk everywhere once you arrive. Quiet spot walking distance to Raymond island for koala spotting. The only issue, if you book with a 3rd party the resort doesn’t get any information about you.including your access code. So ring them a couple of days prior to arrange. Communication from the resort was very quick
