Singapore Sling
Excellent stay at the Novotel Clark Quay. Such a handy location. You have the Metro behind the hotel. Walk across the road and you have your choice of over 30 restaurants & bars. But be warned, many don't open before 5pm. So make sure you book breakfast at the hotel. You can do a river cruise and see some of the sights by water. If walking is your thing, then straight out of the hotel and you can do an amazing walk along the river side, amazing photo opportunities along the way & Raffles is not far off the track in case you feel you deserve that famous Singapore Sling.

Stayed at the hotel whilst attending a conference hosted there. Clean rooms, lovely staff, but the building is showing it’s age in places. Good size swimming pool with plenty of space around.

Novotel Clarke Quay is located in a very nice and quiet area which is close to the cruise port and many good restaurants nearby. It is quite a chilled area to visit especially in the evening! The room itself is spacious but a bit old though.

Excellent & well-rounded business & family hotel
Our stay as a group of 5 and business experience was overall very positive and we would happily recommend Novotel Clarke Quay hotel (one of our members also already had a meeting a few years ago and enjoyed the experience and business facilities again). It is also in a great location, quite central and close to a walkable and lively area by the river.

Dirty bed, dirty towline, dirty floor and everything is dirty. I even went to the hospital because i got an a bad infection which made my skin bleed all bc of the dirty bed sheet.

Theft out of safe - No help from Novotel
Disappointing - my safety box was broken into by a staff member or someone with a key to get in, and nobody will help me. I expected more from Novotel. Not only was the hotel sub standard, they promote crime. I have been promised the name of the person that opened my safe but am now hearing every excuse under the sun. I did not expect my experience of Singapore to be filled with such disgust. Don’t do it to yourself - rather choose another country. If it must be Singapore, choose another hotel and watch your belongings

Comments about our guests’ security are taken very seriously hence our team conducted a thorough investigation upon receipt of your feedback. This included the viewing of CCTV cameras and the interviewing of the staff members concerned. Based on our investigation, it appears that the safety deposit box in your room was left locked following your departure from the hotel. To prepare the room for our next arriving guest, the safety deposit box had to be unlocked by the team, however no items were found inside the safe. I understand that the team has already been in touch with you regarding this matter. Nonetheless, we remain at your disposal should you require further assistance or if you wish to refer to this matter to the Police, we will be happy to assist in their investigations. Great stay - close to the MRT and Clarke Quay. Everything is within walking distance. Buffet breakfast has lots of choices. Comfortable beds. Complimentary bottles of water. Only issue: no rack or place in room to hang any hand washing.

the wireless kettle in the hotel room smelled like stinky feet. I asked clean one and they gave clean one. Quilt cover was covered with paper dust,too. Carpet on the floor also wasn’t vacuumed properly.

The location was good but the hotel is looking old and needs to be refurbished. The housekeeping was very disappointing as on three separate occasions on returning to our room in the evening we had to call the duty manager as our beds were not made nor was our bathroom cleaned and fresh towels left. The buffet breakfast was average and on many occasions the food had run out and guests were left waiting for them to be replenished again. This is not good enough for a 4 star hotel. We paid a great deal of money to stay there but wont be returning again.

The hotel is in a good position for Clarke Quay which has plenty of bars and restaurants. The MTR station is close by. Plenty of good quality shops are also close to the hotel. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We were in a standard room which was a good size with all required amenities.

It is a great location by the river and across Fort Canning park, laidback yet close to many attractions. Nice convenience to be attached to the Liang Court property which includes restaurants and super market. Buffet breakfast is fantastic and is a no brainer to get. One suggestion is that the property can perhaps receive an bit of an update as it beginning to look like it's aging and the lighting in the room can be made a bit brighter.

Novotel is in a great position near Clark Quay. Room was comfortable enough, but it's not a top quality hotel. Waited nearly 20 minutes in a queue at check-in. Phone in room did not work. Bed was against a wall so both had to get in from one side. Windows were filthy. Phone charger in lobby did not work.

It was great that the attending Manager when me and my sister arrived last Dec. 1, was very accommodating (Nicholas was his name I think). He also gave us a complimentary upgrade from Standard to Superior room. When I booked here in Expedia, I think I didn't see the option to add breakfast and I thought it was already included. When we went to have breakfast on Dec. 2, we were told it's not included. I went in and clarified and I believe the attending manager there was named Sri? She wasn't very accommodating and appeared to be disinterested when she told us breakfast wasn't included ... sounding like as if it's our fault it's not included. As for the room itself, it was a bit too-warm. Even if the AC was already at the "Coldest" it can be at 16 degrees. It was only set to FAN - COOL and no way else to make it cooler. For the amenities, we ran out of body wash. Not sure if they replenish everyday for the shampoo and body wash since our room had the containers built-in.

Terrible service
Checking in was a terrible experience with their front desk. While I understand it is the peak hours to check in at 2pm, they took almost 20mins to serve me. The most shocking was I was told my room is not ready yet, and the time was already close to 3pm. The staff told me that his colleague will call out to me when the room is ready. Again I was left waiting with my family members for another 15-20mins. No one called. I approached the staff over at the front desk, then they said the room is ready. Will not consider this hotel ever again.
