"My son and I stayed overnight ahead of an early morning duck hunt at Fish Point Wildlife Refuge in Unionville—just a quick 25-minute drive from the hotel. Our room featured two queen beds that were exceptionally comfortable, and everything was spotless. We especially appreciated being able to open the window and enjoy some fresh air. The staff were genuinely friendly and accommodating. Although we had to leave before breakfast was served, they thoughtfully offered us a couple of granola bars for the road, which was a nice touch. The price was very reasonable for what we needed, and the overall experience was quiet and restful. If we’d had more time, I would’ve loved to take advantage of the outdoor amenities like the grill and firepit. I’d definitely consider staying here again, especially for future trips to Fish Point."

"Odd location but I think hotel was there before everything was built up around it. GREAT that the was a Meijers within walking distance plus MULTIPLE food choices right nearby. Other shopping also very close. The hotel was very clean & pleasant, a little dated but that didn't stop our comfort there. The beds were THE BEST of many hotels I've stayed in & used them as my benchmark for the other 2 we stayed in on our trip. The staff was very friendly & always cleaning or doing something productive yet they always offered assistance or greetings at least. We enjoyed the pool & hot tub each night(pool floor does need resurfacing)& my son & his partner had a ball with the claw machine. They also enjoyed sitting in the surprise enclosed courtyard. Beautiful place to sit & relax with flowers, a gazebo & multiple seating choices. I'm an early bird so I appreciated using the gym in the morning(the bike needs the seat fixed) then coffee as soon as it was available & breakfast before most people were awake. Very good coffee. Breakfast was standard fare but hot & good choices. The breakfast area was very nice & like everything else very clean. I truly like hotels that prioritize the cleanliness. I will absolutely be coming back here when I visit the area. I know I'll get a great stay at a great value!"

"The number and variety of animals is not emphasized enough. They're literally everywhere. We loved it. We were entertained enough just staying there at the property. The house is huge and very comfortable and there are nice big porches all around the house. The kitchen is enormous and open to the rest of the house so dinner was fun. The river is a short walk through the woods from the back of the property and there's a little dock with a bench perfect for fishing. Our host was very kind and accommodating. She made sure we had everything we needed. I wish we could have stayed longer. I really enjoyed it. "
