"Lovely staff and friendly owner. Who drove us to Lion rock early in the morning. Lovely breakfast rotis and eggs followed by toast and butter and jam them fruit and fruit juice. Bungalows were clean and tidy. "

"We had three nights here. The temperature during the day was very hot and humid, as were the nights. Hibiscus villa has air conditioning and a fridge, which helped to make our stay comfortable. Service is very helpful. We needed a car and driver and this was arranged for us at short notice. Better to give a few days notice. Breakfast on the patio, surrounded by fruit trees and other plants was nice. Room is basic, but comfortable. If you choose to stay here you will be well looked after. "

"This property is in the middle of nowhere so there it comes the magic. I can’t complain about slow and poor wifi or power issues since this isn’t a hotel but a home stay. The family hosting is among the best people you could ever meet, very attentive with guests and providing an excellent service and serving a tasty land grown food. We really enjoyed our time there, certainly a place to disconnect in the middle of the island "

"Amazing location. Clean, beautiful views, nice room. Staff was not super helpful in terms of the attractions around the area. They were helpful in “hotel” ways though. Food choice is EXTREMELY limited but that goes for the entire town so staying elsewhere wouldn’t have helped."

"Great location for visiting sigiriya, but despite coming up as "Dambulla" on the map, it's about a 20 minute drive from there. Busses to Dambulla run from the end of the road and are quite regular. The rooms are basic but nice enough. Our room was not dirty but not spotlessly clean either. It had a private patio which was perfect for relaxing. "This is a beautiful property with spacious rooms that make you feel like you are living in a lush green space. Clean rooms, nice space to work, comfortable bed. The only small complaint I have is the internet was a little slow, video calls for work were blurry, but it worked! Breakfast buffet was really good with lots of options. Bar was pretty pricy but it was nice. The pool was also a welcome amenity after hiking. Would definitely recommend. "

Amazing stay with the kindest staff!

"Our stay at Sigiriya Rock Hide was amazing! Beautiful quiet location with a view of Sigiriya rock from the top level restaurant. The food was delicious and very generous, especially the breakfast. The rooms were comfortable with A/C and hot water (just took some time to warm up but was very nice). The pool was very nice amongst a lush garden and was very clean and the perfect temperature. The staff were so incredibly friendly and hospitable. One evening, it was one of their staff member’s birthday and they invited us to have cake with them which was very sweet and kind. They also helped organise a taxi for us to our next stop in Badulla. I highly recommend staying here!! "

Serenity at Serenity

"Great place to stay. Large spacious room and comfy large bed. Sana and his family are very welcoming and helpful. Great breakfast plus we were treated to a Sri Lankan breakfast too. Sana took us on a morning excursion where we were treated to all the local wildlife, which was such an unexpected surprise. Would highly recommend stating here. Thankyou all."

"Terrible conditions in the room. There were bugs, old towels and torn bed sheets. Did not have adequate hot water. Faucet controls were falling off. One of two air conditioners was not working. Pool was not usable, the water was cloudy. This property should be delisted from hotels.com. "
