"Great hotel with Southern Charm"
Beautiful hotel, spacious high floor corner room with lots of windows. Unfortunately there was a building that had been demolished where construction was being done as well as a working alley outside my windows. I was amazed how early they began working snd how loud it was in my room. However, the bed was very comfortable. Great restaurant within the hotel and the 2nd floor bar was a great place to grab a drink.

Went for wife's birthday. The location was perfect for the downtown attractions and was able to walk to all of them. The staff was very friendly and accommodating from the valet to the front desk check out. The room was spacious with a wonderful view. The pool on the top floor is reason enough to go back. We will be back in the spring for Pecan Fest.

Pleasant stay in Austin. Great location if you want to walk places and super helpful staff. We were in for business and didn't enjoy much that the hotel had to offer but our trip was made easy because of our stay. Water did take some time to warm up but so it goes!

"Reliable Brand, Great Location, Friendly Staff"
Hyatt Places are always reliable, with clean and contemporary decor, and friendly staff. I have stayed at several, and they really are a mirror of each other. Overall, enjoyed my stay, as per usual. There's nothing really missing in their service and hotel accommodation. That said, this particular hotel does have an Achilles heal...the valet service, which is subcontracted. Wow, just wow, I have never seen such a mess. The hotel is on a narrow street, and the valet team was so disorganized that traffic was backed up for 3 blocks at times, which I could see from my room; simply unbelievable. Naturally a few of the more tender guests had melt downs at the front desk about the valet team, to the point of being unfair actually, and the hotel staff handled them courteously and sincerely. Kudos to the hotel management for at lest jumping into vehicles to park/remove from the streets trying their best to relieve the issues with the valet team. Oh well, the hotel location is so central to all the action, who needs to drive anyway?:)
