"Wonderful hotel, very knowledgeable and helpful staff, delicious Japanese style breakfast, very relaxing and beautiful. We especially enjoyed the beautiful private outdoor onsen. Kotaro-San was very helpful with recommendations of local activities and places to visit and made our stay very enjoyable. His English is excellent as well. Free parking and laundry were a huge plus. "Rooms are a bit dated but super clean and well maintained. Staff was awesome, and the breakfast was one of the best I've had at any hotel in Japan. Location is fairly remote, but extremely peaceful, and there are free shuttle busses into Toyooka. Onsen was pretty good and clean. If you are looking for a relaxed time away from the typical tourist bustle, I can highly recommend this hotel. Most guests were elderly and extremely friendly, and it was completely silent at night."

"This is such a beautiful location, and the home is well-maintained and decorated with care. When we arrived, four pairs of slippers were waiting for us, just as if we were staying in a traditional ryokan or machiya. We felt welcomed as invited guests. The guide covered most of the operational questions we would have had, and the pictorial on-site book answered most others. The ocean-facing patio also had outdoor slippers and while it was too cool to go in the ocean, the outdoor shower located...

"Great staff who were very nice and accommodating. The staff during the breakfast hour was the most friendliest staff I've met and ensure that the buffet items were replenished consistently and continuously. The public bath was a nice touch/addition; didnt know there was one until the day we checked in. The amenities were also very abundant and nice from the body washing sponge to the drip coffee. Rooms are of typical sizes you expect in Japan so just keep that in mind when you stay here."
