Hotel Seaside Shimabara
Great views. Air conditioned rooms even in November which was amazing. Could actually sleep at night without getting too hot. Close to the port and to the local train line. All around great stay. Restaurant has delicious set meals too!

Nice boutique hotel with large rooms and a small kitchenette. Staff are super friendly. The city centre and Kumamoto Castle are just a few minutes away by foot and there is plenty of parking options next to the hotel.
