LITTLE LOG CABIN IN THE RUBY

"I don’t remember ever getting an email about check so wasn’t sure what to do. My gps took us pass the cabin so we ended up stopping at the neighbors next door and he told us where the cabin was ( he said he built it). The door was unlocked with the keys on the table so I never had to communicate with the host. Beautiful place and had everything we needed. We did have propane the morning we left but that was ok so we had bagels to eat. The only thing that could have made it better would be to have it in the mountains next to a lake!! I would rent it again."

"This property just fell short of what I was hoping for. No fault of the property owner though. I should have researched close to see that it was right off a major highway. It wasn’t quite a tranquil and serene experience as I was hoping for. The access to the river is nearly impossible as you have to walk through knee high brush, go down a relatively steep embankment to cross a canal bridge, then I have no idea what was on the other side. You can’t even see the river from the edge of the canal and I did not attempt to go to the bridge to cross. The home is definitely clean but the towels had a musty smell. One cabin has a sign that says, “office” but it was other people staying in there and it was not an office. Most importantly, I neglected to take note that there is no mention of air conditioning and it was extremely uncomfortable from about 4pm until it cooled off around 11pm. Fortunately, I did have a fan with me but it was still hot sleeping. Again, some of these issues are a fault of my own and not necessarily the property. Wanted to post this to bring visibility to others who may overlook the desire for air conditioning and a peaceful escape. "
