It is an historic 19th century western hotel important to the community. Many 21st century common amenities are missing I suppose to create the ambiance. But simple important amenities like ample free parking on site, good internet, daily full breakfast and a comfortable bed are all available. The price is below standard rates. So if TV, minibar with snacks, frig, safe, room service, bellman, valet services are more important than you might look elsewhere. For me the charm, location and spirit of the old west would bring me back.

If you are looking for a new facility this is not for you. This hotel has a great history and is very well maintained. There are no televisions so if you need TV noise do not stay here. Stay here if want quiet comfort and super friendly staff. Would definitely stay again.

This historic hotel has a lot of charm with a friendly staff. The complimentary breakfast was excellent and absolutely a highlight of the stay! It is not very often that the breakfast is so good. The kitchen and waitstaff really went above and beyond with both the food and the service. The location and setting of the hotel is not great, on a pretty rundown street. However, it's within walking distance of the main shopping street with restaurants and shops. We booked a suite room for a family of 4 and "suite" is a bit of a stretch. It was just bigger than a normal hotel room with a pull out sofa.

I'm sorry to say I would not stay here again if they paid me. The train goes by all night long and it's very noisy. Breakfast was horrible the third day we didn't even eat there. The bathroom was ridiculous bathtub with a shower handle you had to sit in the tub and try to take a shower no shower curtain. There was a door stop in the middle of the bathroom that I hit my toes on at least five times every time I was in the bathroom. Room 205 tiny room with the king size bed in it. The porch was meh sat out there looking at traffic and trains was not in a very nice area Staff was wonderful

From our arrival to the time we checked out, we were treated like family. The staff was marvelous, our room was wonderful, and dinner in the Open Range was absolutely out of this world. At this season of our lives, we have visited many places. When we got home, we agreed that this long weekend ranked up with the best we have ever experienced. We will be back!
