I stayed in Room 313 and loved the mattress. My backache vanished, and I marveled at how light and painless my body felt during those nights. However, upon moving to another inn due to my extended stay and a desire for variety, that uncomfortable tightness returned. I'll be purchasing the mattress and topper, which Comfort Inn is using! Additionally, the breakfast was delicious and comfortable, without concern for glucose spikes.

The lady who checked us in was very friendly and efficient. We had a problem with the fridge not working and iced up. She quickly changed our room. Comfortable room and quiet. Breakfast was good.

Comfortable beds and great breakfast. Plenty of options. Bathroom sink was a little slow going down and shower faucet handle was very stiff to turn. But all in all, not bad for the price!

My 20 month daughter crawled under the sink to get her binky and dumped a tub of hazardous material on her. Damp raid. It spilled on her binky and she ingested it. She got a rash and her eyes were red and swollen. We called poison control and they told us to watch her breathing because it can cause heart problems and muscle issues. We finally after talking to 3 different staff members found out the hotel doesn’t even use that chemical and don’t know why it was under there. So we said do our rooms not get cleaned enough to know there is a hazardous chemical under the sink! And now our daughter is sick. I’m also sick now due to breathing it in. And to top it off, when we asked for someone to clean it up the staff said we had to do it. We have a 7 month old and 20 month old in the room. We don’t work here and shouldn’t have to clean something up that caused harm to our kids and our self!!!!!! TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE. I’m looking into suing, they didn’t want to give us our money back for the stay either. We finally got that back, but they should have offered and offered us free rooms for the rest of our life due to their negligence and harm.

Comfort Inn Woodstock
I've stayed here several times. Check in was quick and easy. The hotel was comfortable, food and other services were literally across the street, and the hotel breakfast was fine. And the price is right..great value!

Stay if you want. But check room completely ASAP!
The first bedroom was so dirty. Hair was everywhere in the bed and food crumbs. There’s no way they cleaned that room after the last guest. I had to go and get the front desk person to come and see for themselves. He even said yes this is not good. I’ll fix it. He switched my room which was better but still little hair in bed. However, I dealt with it because I was so tired and had been driving for over 13 hours. So I slept in the corner of the bed very uncomfortably. Used my own pillow and blanket and for showers I used my own towel and washcloth. The pictures below are the best I could get with being so tired. I didn’t even bother to keep taking more because I was over the disgust. Oh and front desk told me it’s no excuse but we had our holiday Christmas party so corners were cut. Lol unbelievable. I checked out at 6am ASAP! Didn’t even want to stay for free breakfast.

Comfort Inn Woodstock VA Nov. 2023
First time stay at this hotel. Have stayed for years at a hotel in Harrisonburg, but they doubled the room rate for Veterans Day weekend (!). Comfort Inn kept their regular price TYVM so I booked with them. I got there, checked in, and learned that elevator was out of order. I'm 70 with limited mobility so was grateful that my room was on 2nd floor. Room was clean, refrigerator was cool, adequate towels etc. When I turned on heat/AC unit it smelled musty. I have a respiratory condition so this matters. I pulled the air filters and found they were totally caked in dust so thick some of it rolled up on the filter when I pulled it out. The filters are a fine mesh and meant to be rinsed each month. This accumulation means they haven't been cleaned in several months. Not good for the customers OR the hotel as it cuts the efficiency of the unit: higher electric bills and shortened lifespan of the unit. I washed them in bathtub; not a chore I expect to do in a hotel. Bed was comfy, full breakfast, friendly staff. If they'd up their game on maintenance (elevator and filter cleaning) this would have been 5 star. BTW, I took a picture of the filter but the link to upload it isn't working. Grrrr.

Check in while friendly was slow. We were booked on second floor when I got the keys I was told hope you don’t have problems with stair as our elevator is broke. When I advised both my wife and I (65 and 71) have bad backs then they changed our reservation to the main floor. When we got in the room I went to get ice and the bucket had mold around the top seam and the inner bucket had mold on the inside. I had to get our Clorox whipes to clean it before I could use it. The walk in shower around the base had mold all the way around which I just left. My wife tried to use the toilet and it wouldn’t flush. The valve and chain for flopped needed adjusting which I did myself but even then could not get the tank to fill even half way. So we made due. When we went to use the shower the shower head was half plugged up. Again we made due, after 10 hours on the road we just went to bed. Went for breakfast at 6:45 and other than cereal and yogurt there was not much else out. The hot tray was empty and no waffle mix. We just left. How this place ever got an 8.4 rating is beyond me. Maybe a 4.5 at the best. We will never stay there again. Specifically at $175 per night.

Office staff were friendly & efficient. The elevator was broken so had to use the stairs to the third floor. You can hear everything in the hallways including a 1 am door slam & couple arguing in the hallway. Breakfast was good, clean and well stocked. Overall not a bad stay but did not get a good nights sleep due to Noise in hallway throughout the night.

Good stay
We stayed here one night during our trip to VA. We were woken to at 630 AM to the smoke alarm going off. When we called the front desk the lady stated she didn’t smell smoke. We stayed in our room. About 30 mins later the fire department was banging on all doors for us to evacuate we rushed to get dressed and pack up. Felt like the front desk person needed to be in the loop to be able to tell the guest what was happening. Other than that the stay was quick and the room was comfortable.

I stayed 2 nights. Someone was building something (loud tools being used) in the room beside us late into the night right up against the wall to our room. The WiFi was practically non-existent. I had a 1/2 bar on the WiFi the whole time. Horrible.
