"This hotel is located across the street from the Temple and the commercial district is very walkable. Our room was located in the basement of a very quaint historic building, but it was not clear to us initially that we had to drive to another hotel to pick up the keys. But....we were able to park just outside our room, which was a plus. A/C was great. Breakfast was minimal with no hot food."

Everything was thought of and provided, clean, secure, absolutely beautiful. We kept looking around and finding new features and details that had been restored, provided, etc. My friends and I had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this Vrbo! "The apartment was amazing, comfortable, spacious with outstanding views of the Mississippi River and of course the train movements. We were hardly bothered by the trains at night. Rebecca was a great host. All the amenities were on hand and then some. My wife and I would highly recommend this property and Rebecca as a host. We are already planning our next trip to Ft. Madison."

"My husband and I recently enjoyed a 3-night stay at the Windmill Farmhouse. It is very cozy, comfortable and clean! It was like having two vacations in one-a wonderful, very short drive into Nauvoo during the day and then a peaceful stay in the country in the evenings. The property has wonderful backdrops outside (fields, windmill, barn, silo) that are perfect for photo-ops so don't forget to bring a tripod for your camera! Laura, the host, promptly responded to any inquiries. We will definitely stay there again!"
