About this property
Entire place
You'll have the entire cabin to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.
WOW! No better location.
Beachfront, private & tranquil. Unwind and reconnect...
"Awesome" location, "peaceful", "serene", "cosy", "amazing", "restful", "paradise" are all words guests use to describe our tiny cabin on the edge of the beach. You come to Long Point Break to escape and feel like you have your own private beach. Guests often say they never expected to find such a perfect place to escape, just for a bit.... We are off the grid. Come here if you want to walk along a beach and imagine its yours, no one else around.... because often, that is what it is like, you will be the sole people on a beach which stretches for 11km....
Long Point Break offers a fully self-contained modern 2-bedroom (2 queen beds) self-catering cabin with a modern and contemporary coastal inspired decor.
Enjoy nature's splendour either by relaxing in the cabin, relaxing on the deck or getting up close and personal on the beach, by taking the track down onto the sand. It's all at your fingertips.
Walk 11kms of pristine, untouched white sand beach combing for shells. If you are feeling adventurous you can walk all the way to Bicheno along the coast. Take a swim in our sheltered (no nasty sea breezes) corner of the beach. Fossick in the rock pools. Surf the break at the old jetty ruins. Watch the sea eagles and shearwaters (mutton birds) return to their nests upon dark. Marvel at the giant granite marbles which line the foreshores when you go exploring along the rocks.
We have a fully equipped kitchen and also a BBQ for entertaining outside.
We have Wi-Fi to help you stay connected if you feel the need and an extensive library and games section to help you disconnect from screen time.
NOTE: We recommend Telstra mobile phone service for best reception at the cabin.
What's close by? We have the beach directly in front of the cabin, so any beach activity you can think of is right at your fingertips.
Wildlife abounds!!! Particularly birdlife: Sea eagles fish off the rocks and nest nearby. Shearwaters return here every year (the only time they ever come on land) to breed during September to August. Grass parrots, wrens, wattlebirds and other honeyeaters are common. Whales and their calves often come into the bay to rest up on their migration either north or south. Seals and dolphins also follow the natural curve of the beach on their fishing expeditions. We have a large population of Padymelons and Bennett's wallabies, wombats and bandicoots... So sorry, no pets permitted.
We are halfway between Bay of Fires and Freycinet Pennisula and Wineglass Bay.
We are also halfway between Launceston and Hobart in terms of travelling time, being approximately 2 hours from both.
There are over a dozen vineyards all within one hours driving time. Local towns are also within an hours drive. Bicheno is the closest town, being a 15 minute drive away and has everything you could possibly require.

Certainly the location is a highlight of this property, together with a tidy, well equipped property makes for a wonderful stay. Easy access, and close to the natural highlights of the region.
This great cabin has the most awesome beach & ocean view - the miles of secluded beach is an amazing place. Makes you feel like your private beach hideaway. Sandra is a great host - will be back
The cottage was perfect for our stay. Two minutes walk to the quiet beach. In the evenings we had visits from small, shy wildlife. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen well equipped for cooking.
My partner and I stayed here for 5 nights and it was fantastic. The property is set on a picturesque beach only a short walk away. We enjoyed snorkeling, looking in rock pools, and staring at the ocean. This property was spotless and very well equipped and if you need anything Bicheno is a short drive away. We found it difficult to leave this property was so great. Highly recommend
Absolutely wonderful experience, excellent communication and accomodating host. Very comfortable and kept us in awe over the view. We will definitely be back! Thank you for such a lovely experience :)
A beautiful cabin to stay in, one night was not enough. Amazing views of the beach, especially at sunset. The cabin was very private and immaculate. Everything we could have asked for was available.
We had great weather during our 5 wonderful days perched over the big beach with walks, and swims and just taking in the view. A cozy getaway. Thanks Sandra.
I can't even begin to tell you how much my 9-year old daughter and I loved staying here. It's so private and beautiful - a raw, untouched kind of beauty.
The house was perfect for the 2 of us. We saw Pademelons (and babies!) grazing on the lawn every night and the view and beach just can not be beat.
We will definitely be back to this incredible place!
“Seymour - coastal serenity” said the sign after we turned off the main highway. Once we arrived at Long Point Break the view was stunning. The beautiful beach several kilometres long and almost completely deserted was easily accessed down a short track.
The cottage was comfortably furnished and fully equipped with everything you would need for a longer stay. After a warm welcome our host left us to enjoy our stay in privacy.
Will definitely return.
The cabin has everything we needed including a really well equipped kitchen and my husband's favourite, a coffee maker. Despite being near the beach, and us visiting frim Cairns in May, the cabin was warm and cozy and the outside sitting area was out of the sea breeze and in the sun so a lovely spot to relax and enjoy the view....and what a view! All in all a perfect spot to relax and recharge your batteries away from the stress of work and life. It even comes with wallabies, as described on the packet.
Wow is the first word that comes to mind for this property. From the time of booking the unit and onwards, Sandra was excellent with communication. The property itself ticked all our boxes and had the best view. So relaxing and away from the hustle and bustle with Easter business. The property had everything we needed including a lovely welcome package. It was spotleesly clean and the only issue we had was having to leave!!! Could have stayed another week just for relaxing. Highly recommend this property.
Wow, this is one of the most enjoyable stays we have had in a stunning location. With the ocean view and bushland surrounds it feels very private. The only issue was we couldn't stay longer. Sandra is a fabulous host that has thought of everything. The house was super clean and cozy with a well equipped kitchen, BBQ and even a picnic basket. It's an easy walk down onto the beach and at dusk we met the sweet little Pademelon wallabies who came to have a feed of apple pieces. I can see why all reviews are 10/10, we would love to come back and stay a little longer. Highly recommended.
We lucked out with the Tassie weather- hot enough to swim in the freezing water!
This is a really special place - remote, unspoilt and breathtakingly beautiful.
The house is exceptionally clean and private with visiting wildlife and an abundance of birds.
The provisions are basic, as stated, so you need to bring everything you need.
Some paper towel, more than two wine glasses (no champagne glasses and we were celebrating) and more than just ONE sharp knife would be appreciated.
