With the continuation of COVID-19  travelling now comes with some extra challenges. Cast your eye over the following information before hopping on your plane to Seward Peninsula:

• Find out if any travel restrictions apply to your destination and origin before booking. Also check if there are any requirements you'll need to follow on arrival, such as undergoing health assessments.
• Wear a face mask during airport screening. A TSA officer will require you to adjust your mask to verify your identity.
• Rather than handing a TSA employee your boarding pass, position it straight on the scanner yourself. Then, hold it up for inspection.
• You're permitted to take one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 oz (350 ml) in your carry-on baggage. This will need to be removed for X-ray screening.
• To reduce handling during the screening process, place personal items such as your phone, keys and wallet into your carry-on instead of into the bins.
• If you're planning to take food through security screening, put it in a clear plastic bag and then into a screening bin. This lessens the likelihood that a TSA agent will need to touch your carry-on bag or food container for closer inspection.
