Experience the essence of Alaska just outside your door! The new, In The Lee Yurt is located steps away from Salmon Creek on the outskirts of Kenai Fjords NP and 4 miles from the harbor. Nestled in the trees, this is the perfect jump off point to all your adventures in Seward. Fire up the BBQ, light the firepit, take in the sweeping mountain peaks, look out for wildlife as they frequent the creek and recharge in the cozy atmosphere of an Alaskan Yurt.

The Yurt has electricity and running water, we have a beautiful on demand hot water outdoor shower located on the deck. ** There is an outhouse without running water just steps away from the Yurt.
Remember, you are in Alaska! There are bears and wild animals everywhere. We provide you with bear spray, but we ask to be mindful of foods left outside.
*Fishing in the creek is prohibited by state law* We ask that you keep your fires in the designated fire ring and please NO fish processing on the property. No cooking is permitted inside the yurt, please use the Bbq.

The yurt was the perfect place to stay for a weekend trip to Seward! We loved that it was in its own little space. Being just outside Seward made it easy for us to come and go throughout the day. It was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed!

Enjoyed our two night stay. Yurt provided a private, peaceful place to relax. Host gave attention to details to make yurt welcoming for guest. Outhouse was immaculate. Porch shower was top notch. Very pleased to have found this listing as it enhanced our stay in Seward.

Great Experience

We loved our two night stay in Seward. The yurt is great, and the interior is incredible. We wish it had been a little more private from the neighbors, but the views of the mountains and the sounds of the creek far outweigh any negatives. If you’re comfortable with rustic accommodations, this is a perfect place to stay!

Luxury Camping with a View

The hosts were very responsive and available to answer any questions. The deck and picnic table offered spectacular views of mountains and Salmon Creek. The firepit and on demand shower were daily hits. Very comfortable experience!

We Loved This Property!

The yurt is cute and smartly designed. It was so relaxing sleeping on the comfy beds to the sounds of the rushing creek. We enjoyed the firepit and numerous birds. The linens were top notch and the warm outdoor shower was fun. Plenty of hot water! Even the porta-potty was spotless. The host was a pleasure to deal with.

I can not say enough positives about this stay. The Yurt was in a perfect location and was the perfect spot to stay in Alaska. We did not want to leave. The host was wonderful too.:)

So beautiful!

Very comfortable with plenty of amenities. We didn’t use the grill but if we came again, definitely would. Love the sound and view of the creek and even saw an eagle land while laying in the top bunk. It was in the 50s during our stay and never needed to turn on the heat- stayed comfortably warm all 3 days.

LOVED everything about our stay! Great place: well stocked, easy to cook everything on the outside grill (has a side burner for pots & pans), the outdoor shower has great water pressure and the water was hot within a second, comfy beds, had bowls, blanket and a towel for my dog (very thoughtful!), plenty of towels for humans too! Good location: close to town, quiet area, right on the creek (love the sound of the running water!), eagles nest right across the creek. Fantastic communication from the hosts and very easy to check in. If you can book this place, do it!! You won’t regret it.

We love the yurt In the Lee that is nestled next to the river. Eagles kept us entertained while we enjoyed the deck. Your outdoor shower was the absolute best experience. Plenty of hot water. Loved the cool breeze on my feet while hot water showered down. My dog loved the yard. He was a highly entertained with a squirrel. Thank you for providing a welcoming and comfortable stay.
