While Cooleys Rift may not have many sights to explore, venturing just a little farther will lead you to top things to see and do like Monteagle Sunday School Assembly and Sewanee Golf and Tennis Club.
The Sewanee Inn
We just stayed one night. We wanted to play the adjacent 9 hole golf course (excellent as well). Was not expecting this at all. No exaggeration but we’ve stayed in hotels/rooms that cost 10 times as much and were no nicer. Will absolutely stay here again.

The Smokehouse Lodge and Cabins
Friendly staff, clean room. Great food at The Smokehouse. We were attending a concert at The Caverns, hotel staff recommended transportation (no Lyft or Uber available). Overall good service & evening.

Sasquatch Farm
loved the place and area, only issue was it did seem like it wasn’t properly cleaned before we arrived and found someone’s socks under the pull out couch. But overall everything else was great!

Beautiful river cabin in the heart of the Tennessee River Gorge.
It was a beautiful cabin! Great views! We enjoyed the fire pit, firewood was supplied!The driveway was a bit steep as someone else stated, but we made it and we were in a Murano SUV.
