Very clean hotel and room. Staff were very nice. Beds were extremely comfortable. Breakfast was much better than expected. The only drawback would be the paper thin walls but ok with earplugs.

Nice hotel but too noisy for our taste
Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Nice hotel decoration. Walls way too thin to enjoy a good night sleep unless you have neighbours who do not watch TV, laugh, speak loudly, slam doors, shower up to 3am in the morning. We had earplugs on... That's a shame.

Nice hotel, kind of far neighborhood
The hotel itself is pretty nice. The only real con is the location—we don’t mind walking and knew when we booked that it would be a 15-20 minute walk to most attractions. We didn’t realize though that there is very little in terms of cafes or food nearby, and didn’t love having to walk 10 mins for breakfast and dinner every day since we didn’t opt for hotel breakfast.

Pleasantly Surprised!
Charming area, friendly staff and quaint hotel! Very well located, all major sights were within walking distance. Very quiet at night, we all had a good nights sleep. We couldn’t be happier with our choice. We will definitely return to Hotel Plaza Santa Lucia!

A small friendly hotel. Great location as it is in walking distance of many places of interest. Bus stops nearby too. Staff were very friendly and helpful and a small problem that we experienced during our stay was addressed quickly and professionally. Breakfast, which was served in a bright dining room, was very good and food was continually topped up. There were some lovely seating areas inside and out which were very pleasant places to relax. We particularly liked the decoration and furnishings in this hotel. We would definitely recommend this hotel for a short break in Seville.

This was my third visit to Hotel Plaza Santa Lucia within the last 12 months - and i will certainly be returning. Delightful quiet location - but within easy walking distance of both Santa Justa Station and the city centre. Excellent city bus service within 5 minutes walk.

FINE BUT FAR FROM MOST ATTRACTIONS
Santa Lucia Hotel(Seville, Spain) staff were very welcoming when we arrived. Due to my present mobility issues, I was pleased this hotel had an entrance ramp and hotel elevator for my travel wheelchair. Parking was an issue for my husband as there is very little space to park a car. He stated there is only 6 parking slots which were all occupied; however, the hotel manager guided him parking our rental in front of the other cars on condition that he keep our keys in case he had to move it. Manoevering a car in their private garage to enter & exit was a real hassle. During our stay(late September), this hotel was very clean and the buffet breakfast had a limited variety of breakfast choices. Negatives were: poorly situated to visit tourist sights, and WIFI connection was very bad. This was a real problem for us, as we required it for our cell phones and Ipads...we checked out earlier than planned due to this issue.

Cheap hotel for short stay
Hotel allowed us to check in sooner which was nice as we needed to refresh. Room condition was quite old. Breakfast was cheap but not many varieties of food. I did not like the neighborhood area. We left some towels to be replaced but the maid just hung them on the panel to dry them.

location was the only saving grace
If you don't have a car, and need an affordable place to stay, this is a good bet. Good location, very simple rooms. I did have a car, and even though it lists public parking being available, it is location in a maze of one way streets. One missed turn, and it takes 20 minutes to get back to the area. The parking lot has only 1 sign, but doesn't indicate the next 4 turns that need to be made. It took 2 hours to finally locate the lot. If you have a car, do not stay here unless your are fluent in Spanish. Then, to top it off, the AC froze. When I asked the front desk, I was told everyone likes the room so cold the machine froze. Save yourself the hassle, and stay somewhere else.

Simple - Excellent hotel - great value for money
First time visit to Seville for 3 days our objective - to find a good hotel, who had good reviews on a mid tier budget £30-£40/night. That might sound difficult in Seville and other European cities but after reviewing (trawling) through quite a lot of feedback we opted for Plaza Santa Lucia. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would book there again and recommend to others with similar objectives. Prices will move around I appreciate but it is Ronseal - what it says it does etc.,

Far from the Center
I found this hotel was a little further from the center then I wanted. It was clean and price ok but could have found something a little closer. My car was too big for the parking so had to park elsewhere which added to the walking. Nice restaurants close by though.

A great stay!
We found the hotel staff very helpful in providing information regarding travel arrangements, researching information on the Internet for us and providing bookings for Flamenco and bus tours. Having staff who spoke English was very convenient. They were always friendly and willing to help in any way. The hotel is only about 20 minute walk from the tourist areas of town as well as the railway station. To get to the bus stations a taxi was required. All in all I would recommend this hotel.

Loved This Little Spot
This was one of those "nice" three star properties! Too bad we only stayed one night. When we arrived, we were properly greeted by a very competent, kind lady at the check in desk who welcomed us to Valencia! You don't always get a proper welcome in Spain. We were in a triple room, so a bit close quarters, but it worked for us - my husband and I with our 25y/o daughter with us. The rooms are spotless, painted in light, bright colors and decorated with contemporary furniture, good lighting and adequate desk area. A/C worked great, location very good, right off a Main Street, so quiet! Bathroom had modern fixtures - all worked properly along with a hot shower that didn't get the floor wet! It's great for the price and I would definitely stay here again. Keep in mind that without the third bed, the room would have been average size with plenty of room for the two of us for the amount of time we were in it!! They do have their own parking garage at a fee less than the public parking. For very small cars only - it is a tight fit in and out!

Good Deal
This hotel was quiet and comfortable. We had a late bus to catch and they were very accommodating to store our luggage for us. Very convenient to hop on a bus to get to the major sights. There isn't a lot to see/do right around the hotel but we were able to get a room for a great price even though it was Good Friday! The breakfast was basic but perfect for what we were looking for.

Small but comfortable (good for a budget)
The hotel was nice and the staff was very nice. Free WIFI and breakfast was cheaper even though we did not get up to enjoy it. The staff was professional and offered a lot of good advice. The hotel is located 3/4 mile from the train station and in a relatively quite part of town. We did enjoy it and we go a great price on the flamenco show through the hotel. If your on a budget, there is a "super" market near by.

Great value family run hotel
Family run hotel with very attentive staff who are multilingual. The younger man at reception was particularly helpful with suggestions on sights to see in Seville and booking a taxi for the airport. A reasonable sized room with a nice bathroom and a standard continental breakfast. Great value and short walks to the railway station and city centre. Highly recommended.

Convenient and pleasant hotel with helpful staff
It is easy to overlook the entrance to this hotel, but second time around the roundabout we made it. It is sited in a rather unattractive area, but the hotel was very comfortable, we had a good, cheap meal in the bar in the evening, and the staff were very friendly. Above all, it has plenty of parking! We only stayed one night, and the next day the manager was very helpful in giving us advice on catching the ferry to Cadiz.

School party took over
Generally the hotel was good - small but comfortable. The location was a little bit scruffy though. Situated to the edge of old Seville most of the historic sites could be reached with 20-30 minutes walk. The room was air-conditioned and there was free use of an internet computer in the common room. Service was polite and helpful. We asked for a quiet room and got one until...! On our 4th night, to our dismay, a large and boisterous party of English schoolgirls checked in. From that point on the hotel took on the character of a girls school dormitory or a youth hostel. Their ages varied from about 10 to 16 and they behaved as though the other guests were invisible, leaving their room doors open wandering from room to room shouting across the corridors and effectively taking over all 3 floors. Although the girls were not troublemakers and had school teachers with them this kind of experience is what might be expected in a hostel, not a 3 star hotel. We can only hope that the booking was a one-off aberration.

Fantastic visit to Seville - city of oranges!
Seville is a fantastic city - oranges everywhere! All the major sites are easy to reach on foot - the architecture astounding - the people friendly - the beer fantastic and the tapas even better! The hotel was clean and welcoming - an easy to walk to town centre and a good breakfast provided at a reasonable price if you want it. I can highly recommend the hotel and the city - something for all. Go on you know you want to!

Bad service and Terrible neighborhood
I recommend you stay at a hotel closer to the main attractions and in a better neighborhood....rather than staying here. This hotel is NOT close to Santa Lucia station as they advertise. It's a 1 mile (20 min) walk and it's difficult to do with bags. We almost got robbed on our walk to the hotel as some guy snuck up behind us and tried to steal my bag pack...I yelled at him loudly and it scared him off and he ran away. The neighborhood this hotel is in looks run down and is very seedy. It's in a residential area very far from downtown Seville. It's a 25 min walk to the cathedral area thru narrow streets that are really seedy and scary. If you walk on the main road, it's a one hour walk. They do have a bus station 2 blocks from the hotel but the neighborhood is bad, so if you come back late at night, it's a scary walk from bus stop to hotel. The rooms are small but clean. Bathroom is adequate and clean also. They claim to offer internet corner for 3 euros but it never worked. We asked them to fix it every day and they said they didn't know how to. Staff is nice but not too helpful. There's no Metro in Seville, so you either have to take cabs or buses. Buses are plenty and easy to use once you familiarize yourself with the routes. Not as easy to figure out as Metros in the rest of the spain's cities. Breakfast is expensive and not worth it.

A Good Hotel in Seville
An extremely satisfactory hotel in a wonderful city.We only used it as a base and were very happy with all aspects of the Hotel apart perhaps from the location. It was described as being 20 minutes from the Cathedral area but I would almost double that for a leisurely stroll. We eventually took to wandering into the centre through the atmospheric back streets and this was great unless time was important which it was not to us.A further drawback of this location is that it becomes a bit of a nuisance to return to the hotel after a days sightseeing and then have to trek back again for an evening meal. The local area is not especially great for food(a place called the Trinidad about 200 yards from the hotel is not bad)but a stroll perhaps halfway to the Cathedral area will throw up some good restaurants. One further tip is that arriving at 10 at night we paid 27 Euros for a cab but on going back we got the airprt bus from the Railway Station for about 4 Euros between us.The station is definitely walkable from this hotel so I would suggest that anyone visiting Seville for the first time takes that airport bus to the train station and then a cab to your hotel until yor are comfortable with getting around.l.Must save you the best part of 20 Euros between 2 people..

Clean, friendly staff, 3 Star Hotel.
The staff was very nice and helpful, and spoke enough english. Room was clean and well kept but not very fancy but what was expected for a 3 Star. Breakfast was adequate and served nicely and on time. Location was good for me, although you will walk a bit to get to the center of the city, but taxis are close by to flag down if you do not wish to walk. Internet was not dependable, but the hotel computer downstairs was available when I was unable to connect to internet and staff was very helpful and apologetic of the problems.

Purposeful Retreat in Sevilla
I had a great time staying in Hotel Sta Lucia - it was a pleasant surprise that it was central to nearly everything. I loved the fact that I could walk to the train station and to nearly every possible tourist spot. It is 10-15 minutes walk to the shopping area, and a mere 3 minute walk to the nearest grocery store. The hotel itself is cozy and clean, and the receptionists speak English (which is a welcome change as I always received puzzled looks whenever I tried that outside). Given a chance, I would love to go back to Seville and will definitely stay here again.

A clean, comfortable hotel. Courteous staff. Internal terminal offered for a small fee. Good breakfast. Location was fairly close to train station, and near a main street leading to center; not many restaurants in vicinity. One complaint: the person I was with needed an extra pillow, and on the last night the hotel took it away because all rooms were full; it seems they could have had extras on hand.
