About this property
GLAMPING IN THE SMOKIES--PRIVATE 5 acres--LAKE ACCESS....See you in April 2026.
Closed for Winter ☃️---CAMP WHITETAIL is a one-of-a-kind amazing glamping experience! It is a 2 bedroom, 330 sq ft tree-tent that is superbly COZY, nestled on a private 5-acre wooded site! It is camping with modern conveniences and without having to pack up the house.
Inside you will find a comfy custom-made Queen bed and Twin bunk beds, custom made table for two, a kitchen with running water and a propane stove, stocked with the basic necessities. (Note; if the weather is going to drop below freezing at night water will not be turned on during spring or late fall due to pipes and water heater freezing up.)All you'll need to bring is your food and a cooler. The outside covered porch/deck has chairs to take in the peaceful views while sipping coffee in the mornings or just enjoy a quiet evening under the stars. An enclosed outdoor bathroom is just right outside the tent, with hot shower and a toilet loo. The logs by the fire pit, with plenty of firewood, invite you to sit and tell campfire stories and roast marshmallows while creating new memories. The trail then leads to the water, where you can enjoy a trip on the canoe and paddle board (provided for you), lay in the hammock or fish in the clear waters of Douglas Lake.
You can cook in the tent on the gas stove, the outdoor grill or cook on the open fire in the fire pit, sit by the handmade camp logs and enjoy your meal at the fireside.
The red path from the parking area and between the tree-tent and the bathhouse is well lit all the way with solar lights, you can also turn on the porch lights and light up the woods. There are charging outlets 120V/USB for cell phone/laptops. There are only electric blankets. Check lake levels at Douglas Lake water levels as the lake are lowered during the winter starting in September to about March. http://www.douglaslake.info/Level/
This glamping experience will be an unforgettable one for years to come.

Second time staying here. It is an absolutely great place out in the quiet of the woods. The canpsite is also close enough to town if you need to run out quick to the grocery store.
Our first experience with Glamping & we were more than satisfied with the experience! Only wish we’d booked a longer stay and got to enjoy more of the camp site but we stayed out on the town shopping more than in and didn’t get to take advantage of everything the camp had to offer! Will definitely be staying again!
Our family returned for our second time during fall break and had an incredible experience. Hands down this is my favorite VRBO property that I have stayed at. The owner is very responsive and the property is so comfortable and relaxing. We will be back again.
We absolutely loved this location, just wage we would’ve booked a few weeks earlier because the lake had been drained and that was one of the main reasons that we picked this location! We will be back!!
What a nice place tucked away in the woods. The kids spent hours in the lake, while my wife and i spent time hanging out around camp. Definitely a cozy place. Everything we could possibly need was available, was definitely nice to know if we needed something it was no further than a text away!
Adrian's place was absolutely amazing. Everything was as beautiful in person as it was in the pictures. It was such a lovely, peaceful vacation in the woods. Adrian was so helpful and so kind, and I will definitely recommend this place to others.
Good location. Just far enough away from Sevierville to be away from the masses of people that stay in town. Very secure property.
The bathroom/ outhouse is actually very clean. And the shower system works very well.
I do recommend this property for future stays.
It was a little piece of heaven on earth for us. If you love the outdoors I highly recommend! Every time I go back to the mountains I want to stay in this same spot (camp whitetail) if we don’t have a bunch of ppl with us. We will most definitely be back. We want one of our own just like it now. The lake was dry while we were there but we stayed from Oct 16-19 so that was okay with us we got to walk it and explore the bottom. We seen bear feces and prints. Weather was perfect for us. It did rain the morning we left. It made it even more hard to get out of bed it was so peaceful! Adrian is an awesome host also he replies quickly and makes sure you have what you need!
The property looked just like the pictures. Its really cute and clean. Everything you need is provided, just bring your food and clothes and thats all you need.
It was quiet and a great escape that we needed.
I am completely in love. What a beautiful place. So peaceful yet exciting! We do love nature and to lay in bed in the evenings and just listen to all the sounds it was such a wonderful experience. Thank you for your hospitality and we hope to return soon!!!
This “glamping” experience was adorable! The hosts had everything you need to enjoy the woods and the lake. We enjoying just sitting on the porch relaxing and playing games, making S’mores by the campfire, and taking the canoe out on the lake! We are not a camping family, so this was the perfect fit. We never felt uncomfortable (despite 90+ degree days) and enjoyed every moment of our trip! We hope to visit again!
We had such a great time. It was a hot 3 days but the fans that were there kept the air circulating. We all had a much needed break from everything and the privacy was wonderful. We will try to come back in the fall.
I absolutely loved my stay. Adrian was amazing. I didn’t have to wait any time for any questions that I had. The accommodations were great. I plan on coming back. I would recommend this to anybody. If you want to become one with nature, this is the place to go.
If you’re looking to get away from the hustle of life and disconnect for a while then is the place to go to spend quality time with the family. The host was very helpful and answered any of our questions we had. :)
I’m so glad we chose this place as our first glamping experience. The location was private and peaceful. We were there in July, so it was warm at night, but we loved waking up to cool mornings and having coffee on the deck. We had fans at night to help us stay cool. One of our favorite things was the outdoor shower. The Smoky Mountains were incredibly beautiful. We hiked some of the trails, swam in the river and picnicked along the way. This was a wonderful vacation. We would definitely do it again!
We had a great time at camp whitetail. The area is serene and beautiful. The cove at the lake is a little walk from the tent but absolutely worth it. We brought our kayaks for fishing and should have brought a cart to take them down. Adrian was very helpful with recommending a bait shop close by. The tent is clean and stocked with just about anything you could need. I would definitely recommend staying here if you love nature and being away from the hustle of the city.
Absolutely the BEST Glamping experience one could ask for! High quality tent, beautiful site, clean and perfectly decorated. Truly, all you need is a backpack of clothes and a few groceries! Host Adrian has thought of it all! Hot shower, gas stove, bbq grill, firewood, kayak, lanterns, fridge and cooler, amazing fire pit, pots/pans, etc!!
Adrian is kind, extremely knowledgeable and such an amazing host!! Communication is perfect and his property is spotless! A great deal of time, money, energy and love has gone into his camp! We are so lucky to have found him! Looking forward to our next visit!!
