Gettin Cozy - Peaceful Mountain Escape for Couples - Hot Tub, Pet Friendly
Gettin' Cozy
When you are ready for some alone time, escape to this peaceful mountain couple's retreat. Have a picnic next to the creek, soak in the brand new hot, build a campfire or unwind with a good book on the front porch. The cabin is thoughtfully designed for your comfort, inside and out.
The comfortable living area has a cozy gas fireplace, a log dining table and comfortable furniture where you relax and watch a good movie or sports on a large flat screened TV. The full size kitchen is the perfect place to try a new recipe. You will enjoy the hand crafted wood decor and black bears throughout the cabin. The master bedroom has a queen size log bed and log furniture. It is adjacent to a full size bath with a walk-in shower.
Outside, you can revel in the peace and quiet of the forest setting. There is a firepit surrounded with beautiful stone seats and a picnic area next to a quiet (or sometimes roaring) creek. You never know what may wander by...deer, black bears, wild turkeys, or fox. The deck is the perfect place to unwind in the brand new hot tub or to sit and soak in the sounds of nature and fresh air.
Year-round fishing and seasonal pool access can be enjoyed nearby. Gettin' Cozy has a membership for your use to the Honeysuckle Meadows Pool & Deli located approximately 3 ½ miles from the cabin. Fishing pole rentals are available onsite during the summer season.
Day driving trips through Cades Cove, to Clingmans Dome, around the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail, to the Mountain Farm Museum & Mingus Mill near Cherokee or on the Tail of the Dragon always make fun & enjoyable outings. The entrance to the new scenic Wears Valley/Walland section of the Foothills Parkway which took over 50 years to complete is located just 2 1/2 miles from Playing Hooky.
For local dining near the cabin, some favorites are: Grandmother’s Kitchen, Elvira’s Café, Pawpaw’s Cajun Kitchen, Sloppy Hog Burger Joint, and the Wear Valley Social Food Truck Park.
Gettin' Cozy is a perfect cabin escape - or home base for Smoky Mountain adventures!

Loved our stay at this cabin! It was cute and quiet the hot tub was a very nice to get in with the weather being as cold as it was, the only thing we had a problem with is the heat
We wanted a quiet, cosy cabin for an extended weekend away and this cabin was absolutely perfect! We immediately noticed how clean and well cared for the property was. The hosts are exceptional and we are so happy that we choose this cabin for our trip to the Smokies.
This was such an amazing little cabin for our getaway. It was just as shown online. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. The host were very nice and pleasant. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to booking again.
This location was lovely! We enjoyed being so close to the national park entrance but far enough away from the busy crowds of Gatlinburg.
The home itself was very cute and exactly as described in the listing. It was cozy and just perfect for 2 people. The hot tub was a great bonus and perfect to relax in after a day of hiking.
We unfortunately had to cut our trip short due to a family emergency, but the couple of days we were there were great! I do recommend to bring/buy your own seasonings. They had plenty of blankets, pillows, and towels. Very clean and in a quiet area. Would recommend to anyone!!
This was more than expected and I couldn’t get over how comfortable the stay ended up. Pics do not do it justice, esp. fir the size. It was secluded, clean, and very accommodating.
We came to ride motorcycles , cabin was perfect for our stay , just wish there was a bigger bed , and a light in the shower I hung my flashlight , there’s some construction going on so was noisy early morning hours and was hoping to see bears but did not , hot tub was private and great , didn’t realize there was another cabin a stones throw away on same spot but it was fine they were quiet li action is great proximity to lots of shopping and dining
This log cabin was the perfect place for us to stay while celebrating our first wedding anniversary. The mountains were beautiful & it was so calm and peaceful outside. The porch swing & the hot tub added to the cozy atmosphere. The inside was clean & comfortable. The management company was super informative and friendly, calling a few times between our booking & our check-in. They made sure we felt like we could call them if we had any issues! Location is great because it’s quite and private, but only 20-30 minutes to everything you could want to do in Pigeon Forge/Dollywood/Gatlinburg. Only thing we would have appreciated is soap in the shower, but definitely not a deal breaker — we would come back to this home in a heartbeat.
I absolutely loved how the cabin was decorated and everything was very clean.
My husband and I both felt that the creek mentioned in the title and description of the property was overrated. It did not make any noise even after rain as mentioned in the description. We rented this cabin specifically for the stream despite the size of the cabin and were disappointed that we couldn't even get down to the tiny creek.
The other issue we had was the person using their tractor to do work all but one of the days we were there was disturbing the peace and tranquility that we were there for. I dont know if he was working for the owner or not, but we didn't pay money for peace and tranquility to listen to tractor work all day (starting early morning.)
Once again, the cabin itself was clean and adorable.
Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
This property was the perfect place for a couples get away trip. My boyfriend and I enjoyed the stay! Communication with the host was very easy and the accommodation were as seen in the pictures. 10/10
