The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nice and simple with some healthy options. There's a nice swimming pool on the rooftop and the location was great. Easily get to the beach within 5 minutes of walking.
Unfortunately we got unlucky with our room, we got a bottom room with view onto the street. The walls are paper thin and can hear other guests showering and any cars going by but overall its quiet enough at night. The beds are extremely uncomfortable, spring mattresses. The initial walk-in to the room, we got hit by a strong, bad smell from the bathroom, possibly smelled like the sewers. Disgusting. Wouldn't recommend staying for longer than 3 nights with that smell.
But other than that, the hotel was fine and we enjoyed our stay.

The room was very clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable to sleep in, limited tea/coffee supplies with extras needed to be bought from the mini market onsite which wasn’t open during my stay.
The sauna was not functioning either.
Gluten free options at breakfast were limited despite giving enough notice of my dietary needs. The location and overall look of the hotel was good.

The location is great. The view is gorgeous. The apartment was clean, but was very old and outdated. Smelled old as well. The walls were paper thin. We could hear neighbors playing music and talking loud and laughing until 2am. It sounded like they were in our apartment.

Apart from a burnt-out overhead light in the bathroom, my room and experience were top-notch. The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. The buffet breakfast was superb, and the setting—right along the beachfront—could not have been any better. I highly recommend the Algarve Casino.
