"1. The local Africans that work here are great - they were amazing guys that made my brief stay here tolerable. Thank you guys - you know I appreciated all you did.
2. Location - You're literally in the middle of the wild plains of the Serengeti - One night, several hyenas slept just outside my tent - little nerve racking, but that's the wild for you. 3. Service - The VIP tent was good but the food and service was outstanding considering where you are!!

"The Malakai is essentially brand new, beautifully designed, tastefully decorated and kept in impeccable condition by the staff. I cannot say enough good things about the people that work there – led by Alex at the front desk and his team, they were very polite, overly attentive to all my needs and they provided superior service. "We stayed 2 nights and were treated like royalty. The staff were all nice and friendly and attentive to our every need. I would say here again and would recommend it to anyone. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Loved the monkeys in the morning."

"Overpriced substandard facilities. Freezing cold bedroom. Ugly architecture, dark and dingy. Dirty dark and cold bathroom. Window stained with dead bugs and dust. No heaters to compensate. Very depressing. No hot water. We were forced to to ask them to boil water and put it into buckets in order to wash ourselves by using an empty margarine container. Unheard of when we have paid £900 to be in this tacky facility worthy of a YMCA student accommodation Location of the property is very bad....
