A genuine sanctuary—one of the most special places we have ever stayed

From the moment we pulled up and saw that stunning blue ceramic tile roof shimmering in the sunlight, we knew we had arrived somewhere truly special. This is not a typical vacation rental — it is a genuine sanctuary, and exactly the escape we desperately needed from our busy lives. The home is spacious, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully designed in every detail. The Japanese-inspired entrance and tatami meditation room are unlike anything we have experienced — serene, peaceful, and completely unique. We returned to that room every morning and it genuinely slowed us down in the best possible way.Huge windows flood every room with natural light and frame the surrounding landscape beautifully — we found ourselves simply sitting and staring, completely unwound. The kitchen is a joy to cook in: well-equipped, thoughtfully laid out, and clearly designed for people who actually love cooking. Each morning we had coffee on the deck with birdsong all around us and the Olympic Mountains stretched out in front of us. Photos truly do not do that view justice. The highlight of our stay came on the second day when a herd of endangered elk grazed in the fields behind the house for nearly an hour. We had never seen elk before, and it was an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime moment for our whole group. You may just be lucky enough to witness it too.The host was responsive and we had no issues! This is one of those rare properties that stays with you long after you leave. If you are even considering booking, stop considering it and just do it. We will absolutely be back.
